Local high school students volunteering with Ecology Project International (EPI) guide you through their hometown while sharing stories, legends, and traditions of the Galapagos. Ecology Project International is a nonprofit, educational organization whose mission is to inspire science education and conservation efforts worldwide through field-based student-scientist partnerships. They empower youth to take an active role in conservation.

Day 1 Tour Puerto Ayora

Learn the secrets of human history on Santa Cruz Island directly from its people. Local high school students guide you through a walking tour highlighting their hometown while sharing stories, legends, and traditions of Galapagos. Also participate in community conservation efforts by helping clean up the bay using a handmade net constructed by students as part of a campaign to keep the beaches and bays safe for marine life.
