Use the Safari Camp as your comfy basecamp to explore Santa Cruz and some of the neighboring islands of North Seymour, Bartolome, Plazas, Santa Fe, Floreana or Isabel. This tour offers a unique way to see the best that Galapagos travel has to offer: scintillating waters, world-renowned snorkeling and, best of all, wildlife that is truly wild!

Day 1 Arrive Quito

Arrive Quito and make your way to the hotel. Overnight

Day 2 Fly Galapagos - Explore Santa Cruz Highlands

Take an early flight from Quito to Baltra Island, Galapagos. Upon arrival meet your guide and head out on your first adventure to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Enjoy a lovely, locally-grown lunch at a local farm in the western hills. From there you can take in the area's otherworldly beauty while exploring pit craters, lava tunnels and the islands unique forests. Continue on to the Tortoise Reserve to spend some time in their natural habitat.

You will end the day at Galapagos Safari Camp with a sunset cocktail followed by dinner.

Day 3-4 Explore the Galapagos Islands

Early morning head out on a motor vessel to one of the neighboring islands: North Seymour, Bartolome, Plazas, Santa Fe, Floreana or Isabela. Each island has its own unique personality, filled with endemic flora and fauna to explore. The marine life around the islands is also amazing, and snorkeling off the boat is highly recommended. Island destinations will be determined when dates are finalized.

Day 5 Eastern Santa Cruz Island

  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
This morning drive to the Cerro Mesa Reserve which offers spectacular views of the largest crater on Santa Cruz Island and a chance to see the elusive vermilion fly catcher.

After lunch, its beach time on Garrapatero Beach with is white sand, black lava rock, and lovely turquoise waters. There is also a lagoon where you might catch a glimpse of flamingos. Kayaking and mountain biking are optional.

Day 6 Morning free - Return to Quito

This morning is yours to relax, walk around the grounds of the camp or enjoy sunrise from the observatory before flying back to the mainland.

Day 7 Fly home
