DISCOVERY: Discover Budapest by bike. You'll bike down the streets of Budapest and past the most renowned sites and locations of the city.
In the afternoon, enjoy some time on your own exploring Esztergom, the former capital of Hungary. The city is full of treasures such as the Neo-classical basilica and former Royal Palace. Return on board in the evening and leave for Vienna. Tonight enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Schoenbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Imperial family, followed by a panoramic tour of Vienna.
DISCOVERY: The high art of Viennese living: Music and Viennese cafes. Stroll through the city and visit back stage in the Konzerthaus concert hall. After your tour, enjoy a steaming cup of Vienna Coffee and a delicious pastry.
Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this marvelous city at your own pace or take part in an optional excursion: Horse-drawn carriage ride through the old town and the famous Ring road in Vienna.

Today feast your eyes on the most beautiful section of the Wachau Valley. Arrive in Melk during the morning and depart by coach for a tour of the picturesque village of Dürnstein, marked by the legend of King Richard Li Heart and which has a Baroque style church. In the afternoon, join an optional visit to Melk Abbey. It sits atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube from a height of more than 164 feet and is one of the complete examples of baroque art in Austria. Return on board and depart toward Passau at the end of the afternoon. Tonight enjoy the Crew evening.
This morning get off the ship and discover Passau with your accompanist, a university city, full of music and theater. In the winding streets of Passau, discover its Baroque patrician houses. Then cruise to Regensburg through the night.
After breakfast, get off the ship and join an optional guided tour of Regensberg and the Walhalla hall of fame which overhangs the river. Return on board in Kelheim and cruise the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal to Hilpostein.
Arrive in Nuremberg in the morning and get off the ship for an optional guided tour of the city. Nuremberg is a town that seems to come straight out of the Middle Ages. “The little jewel of the Empire”, the old town gathers Gothic edifices, half-timbered houses, and merchants' residences around the marketplace. During the tour of Nuremberg, the boat sails to Erlangen. Return on board and cruise toward Bamberg.
Spend the morning sailing toward Schweinfurt. Once you have arrived departure by coach for an optional tour of Rothenburg. Rothenburg is a magnificent town perched high on a hill. Behind its ramparts huddle, picturesque streets lined with half-timbered houses and craft shops. It is a must-see on the Romantic Road. During the visit, the boat sails on to Kitzingen, where you must return on board.
This morning join a tour of Würzburg (residence of the bishop-princes). Built on the right bank of the Main, Würzburg is a wonderful stop on the Romantic Road. Reflections of the vineyards mingle with the imposing shade of the citadel, a symbol of the power of the bishop-princes. Return on board in Karlstadt. The ship will cruise through the night.
Today discover Miltenberg with your accompanist, its market place, surrounded by half-timbered houses, as well as the High Street and the former Town Hall. All of them make Miltenberg the pearl of the Main. Get back on the ship and cruise toward Aschaffenburg.
CLASSIC: Tour of Frankfurt, the largest financial center in continental Europe.
DISCOVERY: “Mainhattan and the Main Tower"— a panoramic tour of Frankfurt and ascent of the Main Tower. We'll return on board and cruise to Mainz. Mainz lies at the confluence of the Rhine and the Main is a perfect blend of past and present.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
