Learning about coffee production in Antigua, Guatemala

Day 1 Coffee Farm | Maya Museum

You will be met at your hotel this morning by your private guide for today's excursion. First, transfer to the village Jocotenango, just on the outskirts of Antigua where you can visit the local workshops of the traditional woodcarvers of the area. You can also see the interesting pink and white facade of the Jocotenango church before you transfer across to the wonderful Azotea Coffee farm and museums. Here you can have a private guided tour of the Coffee Farm and the museums exhibiting traditional Mayan music and costume. Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
