I had the opportunity to travel to Antarctica with two of my favorite ladies. What a trip! The most beautiful and breathtaking place I have ever seen. Kayaking amongst icebergs, penguins, sea lions and even whales. How will I ever top this trip?

My husband & I accomplished our goal of having visited all 7 continents with our Crossing the Circle cruise in March 2011. We started the trip by crossing below the Antarctic Circle, continued with zodiac cruises through iceberg graveyards, saw lots of wildlife, went camping on the ice and did a polar plunge...twice! All in all, it was the trip of a lifetime!

A voyage for two heading for the White Continent aboard the Antarctic Dream - filled with birds, marine wildlife, interesting lectures, new friendships and many memorable moments. This was early in the summer season so all was pristine. The time spent in the Antarctic seems like a dream.

At 65 degrees south latitude, we reached our furthest point south and landed on the actual continent of Antarctica. Now we were actually on the continental land mass.
