Drawing Criteria

Journal Requirements
1. The drawing is open to all Adventure Life Alumni travelers, whether you traveled with us 9 years ago, or just returned home yesterday.
2. Journal entries must be based on experiences from a trip with Adventure Life.
3. Journals to be considered for the drawing need to be a minimum of 500 words
4. Journals to be considered for the drawing need to include a minimum of 6 pictures. These 6 pictures must include description text.
5. Journals to be considered for the drawing must utilize the map feature, and map the itinerary, when are where possible.
6. Journals to be considered for the drawing must be "Viewable by Anyone." This means they will be posted on www.Adventure-Life.com and viewable to the general public.
7. Malicious and vulgar text is prohibited.
8. Adventure Life has the right to use any posted journal text and/or photos for marketing purposes.
9. Adventure Life has the right to use the name of drawing winner, and their journal entry, for marketing purposes.
10. If your traveling companion creates a journal too, each journal must be distinctly different from each other.
11. While you are welcome create as many journal entries as you please, entries to be considered for the drawing are limited to two per person.

Drawing Prize: Alaksa Expedition Cruise for Two
1. The Alaska Expedition Cruise for two is offered during the 2010 cruise season.
2. Booking needs to be made 60 days in advance. Subject to availability.
3. Prize value - up to $7,000.
4. Trip does not include any personal expenses and international or internal flights not regularly included in the tour cost.
5. Winner can choose from any itinerary offered onboard the following Cruise West ships: Spirit of Yorktown, Spirit of Endeavour, Spirit of 98, Spirit of Columbia, Spirit of Alaska, Spirit of Discovery, or Spirit of Glacier Bay.
6. Offer excludes all itineraries offered onboard the Spirit of Oceanus.
7. Any itinerary or expenses exceeding $7,000 are the responsibily of winner
8. Offer applies to cruise-portion only; any land-based excursions are the responsibility of winner.
9. Offer not redeemable for cash.
10. Drawing will take place after first 100 journals received - and no later than July 31, 2009. Winner will be notified no later than August 1, 2009.
11. Travelers must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for prize.

Prize for Best Trip Journal: Antarctica Cruise for one onboard Antarctic Dream
1. Entry deadline for Best Trip Journal is August 1, 2009.
2. Winning journal will be choosen by members of the Adventure Life staff
3. Winner will be notified by August 15, 2009.
4. Antarctica prize is a free trip for one. Winner is considered a single willing to share; which means he/she agrees to be paired with another single traveler of similar demographics. Or winner is welcome to purchase the second berth for a travel companion at own expense. Or winner is welcome to pay single-supplement (if applicable)
5. Antarctica prize is offered during the 2009/2010 cruise season.

7. Offer applies to cruise-portion only; any land-based excursions -- before or after the cruise -- are the responsibility of winner.
