Today we got our first sights of the Galapagos Islands. We touched down late morning, and by noon we were already aboard the Sulidae and had already begun to see creatures unseen anywhere else in the world.
We spent the afternoon paddling around in our dingy in the Black Turtle Cove seeing upclose animals such sharks, crabs, albatross, turtles, and of course, the famous Blue-footed Booby.
After making it through the first night on the boat, today we arrived at Floreana where we were greeted by a colony of sea lions on the beach.
In the afternoon we stopped by the Galapagos Post Office, a post office unlike any other. Here people drop off postcards and other travelers can pick them up and deliver them themselves.
The highlight of the day however was in the late afternoon on the beach were we got to see a crab fight of sorts. See the video/link below to see it for yourself.
