Welcome to Hosteria El Pilar Hosteria El Pilar Enjoy a meal in the hotel restaurant Hotel Accommodations Relax in your comfortable hotel room Double Accommodations Service with a smile The chef hard at work Delicious Andean Cuisine A typical Patagonian Asado

Located in the Valle del Río de las Vueltas and surrounded by a thick forest of native trees, you will find the recreation of an antique Patagonian country house, similar to the ones inhabited by the pioneers who populated the Patagonia. Upon entering you perceive a warm and cozy climate where creaking wood may be heard burning in the great main chimney.

The bar, the dining room, the library and even the kitchen are all of free access to guests, who will feel right at home. There is also a deck, an ideal corner located in the east wing of the house and protected from the winds, where guests will enjoy a sunny afternoon or taste a delicious Patagonian lamb barbecue.

Cuisine
The hosteria's cuisine, based on original recipes by their authors, is one of the reasons why El Pillar stands out in the area. The head chef proposes a variety of flavors that combine international cuisine with the distinctive touch of ingredients from the Patagonian forest.

The preparation of the dishes is pristine and handcrafted. Meals are cooked in a wood oven which gives them a special taste.

The chef selects fresh fruit and vegetables from the hosteria's harvest before elaborating each dish.

Rooms
The country house has 10 very comfortable rooms, each with its private bathroom, and which all offer a warm and cozy aspect. All rooms have a view of the mountain landscape.

History
Hosteria El Pilar is a quiet lodge built and run by people with a true love for the surrounding mountains of the Fitzroy Range. The Hosteria is full of mountaineering mementos and pictures of famous climbs and climbers.

This quiet Hosteria is 15 miles from El Chalten. With mountains as a backdrop and a river on the property and warm welcoming hosts this is an excellent place to call home before heading out on your trek or as a place to rest your tired feet on your return.

We had no idea the Yacutinga Lodge, Iguazu Jungle Lodge and Colome Estancia would be so luxurious. The tours were professional, educational and loads of fun. We enjoyed ourselves and ...
