La Cascada Camp

This riverside eco-camp in the Chilean wilderness features raised, roofed tent platforms with tents equpped with inflatable mattresses, pillows, and blankets. Visitors can relax and enjoy views of the Rio Azul and the surrounding Azul Valley, soak in the handcrafted Cyprus-wood hot tub by the river, hike through the forest, or enjoy the 2 kilometers of river beach. Fly fishing, swimming, and rafting are just a few of the river activities available.

La Cascada features the Quincho, a traditional Patagonian style structure for cooking and dining, as well as a sunset bar with unlimited drinks and Chilean wine, a riverside sunset deck perfet for reading and watching the river, and numerous hiking trails allowing exploration of some of Patagonia's most pristine and unpopulated areas. Evenings consist of "asados," a traditional dinner and guitar music around the campfire, or around a bonfire on the beach.

Visitors to La Cascada also have the opportunity to go horseback riding along the Rio Azul and up the valley, where one of the most spectacular cascading staircase waterfalls in the world can be found. The water falls 300 feet over smooth granite and exploding off the jagged rock edges at different angles, causing rainbows to form.

For those seeking to navigate the narrow and technical Rio Azul, inflatable kayaks are available to visitors.
