Winner of the Ecotourism Award from the World Congress on Tourism and the Environment, La Selva Amazon Ecolodge & Spa sits high on the lake of Garzacocha. Deep in this Amazon jungle of unparalleled biodiversity, La Selva provides lodging in a paradise where anything is possible. The comfortable cabanas are of native design and the food is the pride of the lodge. There are a number of possible excursions with an English guide, some more physically challenging than others. La Selva is home to many trails, a 135 foot observation tower, and a large butterfly farm. The adventures are limitless.

Guest Accommodation
The cabanas are derived from native design: rustic, authentic, but comfortable and with unexpected amenities including private bathroom, hot water shower, electricity, fan and everything sanitary beyond your wildest expectations.

The cabanas are private bungalows that keep guests high and cozy, and are immaculately cleaned every day. It is important to note that these cabanas are made entirely of secondary growth rainforest materials and designed to blend with the surroundings. Each one has a private bathroom, a hammock and mosquito netting (although you will be surprised at how little need you will have for this item) for each bed.

There are 17 thatched cabanas of varying sleeping configurations and several public gathering spots, including the spacious dining room with a cone shaped roof, an open-air combined bar and a lounge with a wrap-around view of the lake. The hammock hut is preferred by many for siestas when not exploring the surrounding rainforest.

La Selva Restaurant
The lodge takes tremendous pride in the food served at La Selva Amazon Ecolodge & Spa. The chef holds a culinary background in French cuisine, and skills are applied to offer local ingredients and dishes with fresh tropical fruit juices that accompany each meal. For all food and drinks, bottled water brought directly from Quito is used.

La Selva Amazon Ecolodge & Spa does serve vegetarian meals and can prepare meals for special diets upon request. Please do not hesitate to make a request and the chef prepare a delicious diet for your needs.

La Selva Bar
Enjoy a very unique ?Jungle Bar? at La Selva Ecolodge & Spa! One of your experiences at the resort will be your ?welcome? drink at the reception desk upon arrival. Friendly bartenders will serve your favorite cocktail or introduce you to some of the lodge's special tropical drinks.

You can enjoy the view from the bar, or make new friends in the very spacious lounge which is located just behind the bar.

Activities and Programs
This premier adventure travel and eco-friendly destination has plenty of options for your activities for day and night (night excursions are among the most popular). Swimming in the lake that borders the lodge is a popular daytime activity. Fishing is also popular as guests have the opportunity to fish for piranhas!

Native Trackers and English-Speaking Naturalists will guide you on both easy and challenging trails along an extensive trail system that is usually filled with wildlife in what many consider the most biologically-diverse lodge in the entire Amazon.
