Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Arrive at the floating city of Venice which sits on millions of wooden piles and more than 400 bridges crossing 150 canals. No other city possesses such an abundance of stunningly beautiful churches, monasteries, palaces, and artistic treasures, and nowhere else has plaster that crumbles so elegantly. Venice is a unique work of art and, with its lagoon, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The gateway to the city is probably the most magical of any in the world. Slowly and majestically you glide past the proud palaces along the Grand Canal and the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, giving you a long look at the fairytale setting of St Mark's Square with the Doge's Palace and Campanile. Board the Sea Cloud and attend dinner as the ship sets sail.
In the morning arrive at Sibenik port, located on the Dalmatian coast, one of the most impressive waterways in Croatia. In the National Park, just a few kilometers (miles) away from Sibenik, the countryside seems both enchanted and savage. Rushing waters cascade picturesquely down from a limestone plateau into the depths below. The charming old town of Sibenik is impressive, mainly due to the massive Cathedral of St James, one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in the eastern Adriatic and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set sail to Split at 1:00pm, arriving in the evening.
Enjoy the first half of the day in Split, located in the southernmost region of Croatia, the most beautiful cultural center and secret capital. Gothic, Romanesque, Venetian, Roman, and Baroque - a stroll through the old city of Split is like a journey through time. Diocletian's Palace, once the Emperor's retirement retreat, is at the heart of the beautiful old city, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A vast palace complex of around 30,000 square meters (322,917 square feet) was erected in just 10 years at the end of the 3rd century AD, a city within a city.
Your next stop is Rab. Arrive at 8:00am, and after an amazing breakfast explore Rab's port, located on the southwestern coast of this Croatian island in Kvarner Bay. Its stunning position on a headland running up to a point is decidedly scenic. In the 12th century, the picturesque old town was surrounded by a defensive wall and pieces of this still survive. This enchanting town has managed to preserve its medieval look with narrow lanes and distinctive bell towers and, as a result, has remained exceptionally youthful and lively.
Visit Ravenna, once a lagoon city and important naval base, and now located around nine kilometers (5.5 miles) inland from the Adriatic Sea. Its main heyday was between the 5th and 7th centuries when it was the capital of the Western Roman Empire. It was in this period that the most important early Christian and Byzantine religious buildings were constructed, as well as the delightful mosaics which, like large parts of Ravenna, are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. But this city of the arts also proudly bears witness to a highly eventful history. The Piazza del Popolo forms the lively heart of the city and creates a magnificent backdrop for colorful modern-day life.
Discover Rovinj, a magical spot that lies on the western coast of Istria. The old town was built on a hill and was part of the Republic of Venice for over 500 years. St Euphemia's Basilica sits above the terracotta roofs in solitary splendor and its tower has become the town's landmark. A stroll through the winding lanes transports you straight into the Mediterranean lifestyle and the region's culinary delights. Istrian wines seem to embody the sun's rich heat, the oak forests conceal precious white truffles, and the region's olive oil is among the finest in the world. Late night depart back to Venice.

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
