Accommodations at Pelican Eyes Resort
The Nicaragua resort accommodations are the most lovely and spacious of any San Juan Del Sur hotel. Pelican Eyes lodging guestrooms feature soaring cane ceilings, graceful arched windows, airy terraces, exposed natural woods, handcrafted furniture and Central American artwork.
All accommodations feature:
- Air conditioning and flow-through natural ventilation with ceiling fans
- Satellite TV and stereo, and DVD
- Convenience Kitchen (including a small microwave, mini-refrigerator, and coffee maker) OR Gourmet Kitchen (including a large Microwave, full gas stove and oven, large refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, fully equipped with a wide array of cooking utensils, pots, and pans, and table settings for 8
- Purified water
- Private patio or terrace
- Large private bathroom with hot water
Guests can select from the following options for accommodations:
HABITACIONES
Habitaciones are deluxe large one room hotel accommodations featuring two beds, in various combinations of kings and queens, a convenience kitchen and a large bathroom with shower. Located near the front of the property, Habitaciones are close to La Casada and the lower infinity pool.
STUDIOS
Studios are one room efficiency units featuring two beds, in various combinations of kings and queens, a small fully equipped gourmet kitchen, a cozy dining area, and a large bathroom with shower. Two of the studio units also include a small private pool on the open patio, which can fit up to 10 adults comfortably.
TOWNHOUSES
Townhouses are large, one-bedroom townhouses with two bathrooms, offering maximum space and privacy. They feature two queen beds, two bathrooms, a spacious gourmet kitchen/dining room area, and living room with a queen size convertible futon couch.
CASAS
Casas are the largest accommodations, open and airy two-bedroom houses with one or two bathrooms. They feature a combination of one king plus two queen beds, a spacious gourmet kitchen/dining room area, and a living room. Some include a queen-size convertible futon couch.

Pelican Eyes Resort is proud to offer two distinct Nicaragua resort dining options to both vacationing and local guests and visitors.
LA CASCADA BAR & RESTAURANT
Dine al fresco by the pool or at a candlelit, ocean-view table in the open-air dining room overlooking the cobalt-blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner La Cascada features signature dishes prepared by the chef using only the freshest local ingredients. A poolside menu for snacks and light lunches is also offered. The La Cascada bar features a full cocktail menu, plus local and international beers, and an impressive wine list.
BISTRO LA CANOA
Surrounded by gently flowing brick walkways and lagoons of lush bougainvillea, Bistro La Canoa floats in cooling shade above the infinity lap pool. Join your wait staff for an early breakfast, a variety of Bistro lunch specialties, or a refreshing beverage as you relax poolside.
Tranquila Spa
Tranquila Spa is perched atop a lush hillside with stunning views of the bay. Feel your stress melt away with locally inspired treatments, performed by highly skilled and intuitive spa practitioners. Experience benefits that are in equal parts relaxing, therapeutic and invigorating. Each visit offers a multitude of opportunities designed to increase your well-being. You don't won't to miss this opportunity to unwind from the daily grind and completely relax and renew!
Other onsite activities include yoga sessions and water aerobics in the pool. Enjoy a relaxing morning or evening Yoga session overlooking San Juan del Sur from the wooden yoga deck. Vinyasa yoga consists of a series of poses which flow together to help strengthen the body, increase flexibility, relieve stress and calm the mind. All yoga classes are at reduced rates for guests and are held on the wooden deck located just below the family pool on the upper level property. Or, get a refreshing start on your day by joining the water aerobics class at the family pool (located on our upper property below the lap pool). This is a wonderful way to have a low impact workout while making use of the water to help you exercise and stay cool.
