Whitewater Rafting in the Sacred Valley

Day 1 Vilcanota-Urubamba River Whitewater Rafting

  • 1 Lunch
Early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to Pachar. Here you will receive your safety briefing and equipment as well as a brief practice in the flat parts of the river. Admire the spectacular views of the mountains and archaeological sites on the way towards Ollantaytambo and its amazing Inca terraces in between the class II and III rapids. Finish the three hour trip on the river with “El Resbaladero” (The Slide), a strong class III rapid that includes waves and small whirlpools. Lunch will be en-route. Return to Cusco in the evening.

This trip is approximately 7 hours total with 3 hours on the water. The difficulty level is easy with Class II and III rapids. No prior experience required.

Kate was great to work with in the planning stage. She was prompt, helpful, and efficient. Our tour guide, Edwin, was knowledgeable and passionate. We were very happy to have traveled with Adventure Life, it made the trip easy and a true pleasure. We could concentrate on enjoying the experience rather than the details of travel.
