Our Amazing Trip to the Falkland Islands |
My Photos : Greg With the help of Adventure Life, we planned a last-minute trip to the Falkland Islands last December. We wanted to time our travels with the breeding cycle of the migratory penguins and we definitely succeeded - we saw so many fluffy, chubby baby penguins and were lucky enough to see albatross chicks and baby seals too! Diving And Darwin's Islands |
My Photos : Steve A wonderful trip with highlights including morning scuba dives off Santa Cruz Island, an exhilarating hike up the Sierra Negra volcano, lots of curious and nonchalant animals sea life, great company, accommodations and food, and knowledgable guides who accompanied us throughout the islands. Adventure Life also arranged a last minute guided bus/walking tour in Quito to structure my last day in Ecuado while awaiting the flight home. A great adventure! Patagonia Sister Trip 2013 |
My Photos : Michele To the "end of the world" and back. My sister and I started the trip with a stay over in Buenos Aires before taking a flight to Ushuaia. Together we hiked and kayaked through Tierra del Fuego. We set foot on Cape Horn and an island inhabited only by penguins. Together, we sailed the Straits of Magellan; we learned about the history of Patagonia: the indigenous people, plants, animals, explorers, wars, politics and the people of today. We tasted foods and drank wine and beer of the region. Finally, we trekked the W circuit of Torres del Paine. A promise was made between my sister and I - that we would travel to the end of the world together. That promise was filled with our Patagonia trip. The experience of being in such a beautiful place, together, as we promised so many years ago, was unforgettable. Life is too short to miss out on all the beauty the world has to offer. Elusive Patagonia |
My Photos : George Patagonia. How does one describe an area that is indescribable? It's a land of stark contrasts--jagged snow-capped mountains peaks, pristine lakes, and massive glaciers of mesmerizing beauty, but also a landscape of barren emptiness inhabited only by the incessant Patagonian wind. We called it ''Elusive Patagonia.'' After reading our journal and viewing our photos, what would you call it? Read my journal : Elusive Patagonia
