What an amazing trip!!

Each day I found myself amazed, excited, inspired, humbled, filled with a sense of wonder, or all of these! A fantastic vacation to Old City Quito, Sacha Lodge in the Amazon, Otovalo area, and the Galápagos onboard the Millenium.

How do you sum up a trip to the Galapagos? A birders paradise? A zoo without cages? Neither of the previous statements do Darwins Islands any justice. The Flamingo I, our vessel for the week, took us on an expedition to see and experience as much of the Galapagos as we possible could.

What a memorable trip for the whole family -- my husband and I, with our two children, age 6 and 9. We can\'t wait to go on another adventure. Read on!

Magical Peru, we\'ve always wanted to go, but with work restrictions, we could never fit into a group tour. After comparing every tour available by other tour groups we managed to turn this tour into a private trip with Adventure Life. Let the fun begin!

If you are looking for things to do in Ushuaia while you await the next part of your trip, the Martial Glacier is a good option. It is about 7km outside of downtown Ushuaia. The view from the mountains outside the town are wonderful and make this trek worth taking. There are some great photo opportunities as well.

Argentina is widely known for its traditional cuisine and flavorful wines! Enjoy wine in the vineyards in Cayafate Valley and hike through the famous Humahuaca Gorge. The end of your trip includes an Andean cooking class where you\'ll learn the secret to a traditional Tamale. Each day offers plenty of opportunities to experiment with local dishes and wines. We went on a tour with a group to San Ignacio Ruins, near Iguazu Falls in Argentina. It was the built by the Jesuits in the 1600s in order to convert the Guarani people and establish a presence in Latin America. Walking through the ruins, it was interesting to think we were in the setting of the movie \"The Mission\".

Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego lies just north of Ushuaia and is Argentina\'s first coastal national park. We spent a day exploring the trails and relaxing. We wandered along the coastal path, taking in all the wildlife. It was about a 3 1/2 hour hike that took us through the forests. We finished the walk at Lake Roca in time for lunch. What a wonderful day! I\'ve never seen so many different kinds of trees!

On our Argentina tour, we made an excursion to explored the Iguazu Falls. I was amazed that over 275 cascades make up the falls. We took a boat out to see the falls from below and were showered by the mists even though we stayed at a safe distance. Water can be such a powerful, awe-inspiring force. During our time afterwards we also visited the subtropical rainforest and discovered the flowers, butterflies, birds and more! Definitely a must see on our tour.
