Patagonia trek and Atacama Desert extension: How to sum up this trip? Of course it was a chance to see spectacular scenery, meet new people, and experience a different culture. Being open to learning about such things, knowing I will also learn more about myself, is what makes adventure travel so rewarding. Not to mention way fun.

I would like to thank all the people at Adventure Life who helped make this Falkland Islands tour come true. It was a truly amazing tour! Actually it was a spiritual adventure in some ways and this was made possible by the warmth and friendship of all the people we met in the Falklands. I can't say enough about this tour to adequately say how much it meant to us. We didn't realize how moving the whole experience was until after we had returned home and gone over the place, people and photos. Thank you Adventure Life for making it all possible.

The land and people of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego are special indeed. There are few places left in the world where one can experience the untouched beauty and remoteness of nature and the friendliness of the people who inhabit such places. Here is the adventure of my Patagonia Trip!

From the first contact in Ushuaia, Argentina, to the drop-off in Punta Arenas some nine days later we were safely guided through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world and provided some of the finest in service we had ever had.

We traveled to Santiago, Chile for a few days then onto Easter Island for our tour. There was so much artistic talent on the island. Both myself and my friend have longed to return to the magnificent Easter Island!

March of this year we took off for a Patagonia tour and the trip of a lifetime. Here's our experiencing hiking and trekking out of Ecocamp into all that Torres del Paine has to offer on our Pure Patagonia Trip.

I’ve spent years pouring through my share of Outside Magazines and National Geographics; watched hours of Discovery Channel Programs and marveled at the beauty of nature; heard the tales of many of my well-travelled friends as they detailed their harrowing and exciting adventures. But with all of this, at 30 years old, I had never been outside of the United States. Yes, you heard that right. While I would have given my left arm to be able to say I was an adventurer, the most I had ventured from home was across the U.S. At least that was the case a year ago, when (for my 30th birthday) my boyfriend Jay surprised me with the trip of a lifetime – halfway around the world in South America. He had heard about Adventure Life through a few friends (and a few reads of Outside Magazine himself) and booked the trip without my knowing. Flash forward to March 2010 when, after months of planning, Jay and I board a flight bound for Santiago with an itinerary set to take us to the end of the world and back – and offer us experiences we wouldn’t soon forget. I had no idea what was in store but was soon to find out…
