Our idea for this trip started with seeing Machu Picchu, but soon, trekking the Inca Trail became integrally important to the purpose of the trip. Dave & I are in our late 50’s. We hike, but we\'re not athletes. Once we decided on the trek itinerary, “while we’re there, what else can we see ?’, added Manu & Lake Titicaca, and they were great, too. The entire trip was a fabulous experience, and we were very pleased with everything Adventure Life provided.

This journal is co-created by Nate and Michele. We planned our trip to Peru over Thanksgiving 2011 to celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary and it was truly magical. We share a passion for travel and seek destinations that are both off the beaten path and which offer a winning combination of great food, beautiful scenery, adventure and amazing people. Peru did not disappoint.

With Kassandra\'s knowledge of the area and our requirements and dates, We felt like our Peru trip was tailored to our exact liking and it made for a fantastic, fabulous, wonderful, exciting and culturally and educationally informative vacation. Our trip to Peru included Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. With our guide Ayul, we explored the city and ruins even with the rains and flooding. What a wonderful trip!

Wow! What a trip to Peru. I\'m glad I hand wrote my journal and I\'m hoping I can share with everyone. My trip to Peru and Machu Picchu was beyond spectacular.

Who knew that trekking the Inca Trail alone with only a guide, and an entourage of 4 porters and 1 cook could be so fabulous?
