Ecuador: Road Trip Anyone...?!

Road Trip anyone...?! Our 9 day adventure to Ecuador was highlighted by a 5 day, 4 night personalized road trip "Adventure Life" designed just for us. Everything we wanted to experience and explore in the timeframe and budget I had available was granted; from highlands and climbing on the earths tallest "Active" volcano (Cotopaxi), strolling the beach/swimming in the Pacific near Don Juan, hiking, zip lining and Tarzan Jumping in the cloud forest at Mindo to visiting sacred ceremonial sites of the Yumbo (pre-Inca) civilization at Tulipe. Daniel was our capable, knowledgeable and expert driver /guide; sharing countless interesting facts about the country, culture and history along the way. Not to mention helping con mi espanol! Being able to see so much of the country and experience the way the locals live has created memories to last a life time. You should go! Explore all the lush landscape and historical aspects of Ecuador. Muchas mas to do in Ecuador than we had time for; perhaps I will make it back. Ecuadorian Rainforest Kayaking Adventure Trip

It was a great Ecuadorian rainforest kayaking adventure trip! And we learned: that a large black garbage bag makes a great raincoat in a pinch.That you keep your toes away from streaming ants.To bring extra clothing in small dry bags so that you can go to dinner in something other than your pajamas. . .That you are ALONE when you are alone in the rainforest. And you thought you were happy on a cruise!

"Camp Galapagos" Cruise aboard the Odyssey

Natalie and I had an amazing adventure! Our guides were down right spectacular, the boat OUTSTANDING (we have nicknamed ourselves "Camp Galapagos") and just the whole experience truly fantastic. We made new friends and enjoyed the richness, history and remarkable beauty of both the stunning Galapagos and mainland Ecuador. We are total fans!! I can't believe how lucky we got finding adventure life! The best 40th ever...

The Galapagos and Haciendas of Ecuador Trip!

Ashley and Cody experienced the wonderful hospitality of the quaint Haciendas of Ecuador on their trip. Then the were off to visit the Galapagos and take in the extraordinary wildlife of the islands aboard the ELF.

Craig and Steph Explore the Cultures of Ecuador

We experience the varied local cultures of Ecuador, starting with a 5 night homestay with a family of Kichwa farmers in the highlands of Morochos. Then we spend three nights camping with the jungle-dwelling Kichwa Waira Churi family. During a three day paddle down the Shiripuno River, we learn about the Huaorani culture of the Amazon basin. We explore the jungle for two days at the Shiripuno Lodge with our Huaorani guide before heading back to Quito and continuing home.

Our Ecuador Adventure

My twelve year old son picked out our vacation this year. I was originally searching on the Internet for Galapagos Tours and found Adventure Life. There were so many options and amazing tours throughout South America, I thought he woudl never decide!
