Day 1 Arrive Cape Town
Start your South African adventure by enjoying a city tour and take in the sights and sounds of Cape Town. Explore this vibrant city and learn about its apartheid past to its vibrant present. Visit the Houses of Parliament, the Castle (Cape Town’s Oldest Building), the lively Greenmarket Square, the Company Gardens, and of course, Table Mountain. At the conclusion of your tour, choose to be dropped off at the hotel, or at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront to continue exploring and enjoy one of the many restaurants.

Day 2 Cape Point & Peninsula
After breakfast depart the hotel on your full day adventure around Cape Point. Pass brilliant beaches and charming coastal villages before crossing over to Hout Bay. From here, enjoy the scenic drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman's Peak. At the top of the peninsula, watch as the waters of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans converge and enjoy the spectacular views over False Bay.
After lunch continue to Simonstown Naval Base. Visit Boulders Beach, an African Penguin breeding colony. A quick stop at the Kirstenbosch Gardens rounds out the day before you return to the hotel in late afternoon. Explore the local area independently for dinner.
Day 3 Cape Winelands Tour
Depart Cape Town this morning and set off towards the Winelands. Enjoy the scenic drive through mountain ranges, vineyards, and homesteads before arriving to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. Enjoy wine tastings, paired with chocolate and desserts before continuing on. Next, navigate the scenic Helshoogte Pass to South Africa’s culinary capital, Franschhoek. Franschhoek is a delightful town where the cafe lined streets will charm you, and another wine tasting is included at one of the prominent estates. Paarl is the final stop on the tour of the wine country. Located at the foot of a group of remarkable granite domes, Paarl offers a diverse assortment of wineries. Enjoy a final wine tasting before returning to Cape Town.
Day 4 Ostrich Farm to Oudtshoorn
Today bid Cape Town adieu as you travel along Route 62 eastwards to Oudtshoorn, the feather capital of the world. Stop for lunch in Barrydale, a quaint village along Route 62, and enjoy the local hospitality before visiting a working ostrich farm. Arrive to the lodge in late afternoon, and enjoy the grounds before dinner.
Day 5 Cango Caves & Knysna

Visit one of the natural wonders of the world, the Cango Caves, before arriving to Knysna, a small town on a lagoon where the Knysna River feeds into the Indian Ocean. Knysna is considered the Gem of the Garden Route and its limestone cliffs set it apart from other destinations! This afternoon sail up the Keurbooms River on an informative cruise before reaching the Hog Hollow Country Lodge, your home for the next two nights.
Day 6 Elephant Sanctuary & Birds of Eden

Get up close and personal with elephants this morning during a visit to the Elephant Sanctuary. Touch, feed, and photograph these gentle giants, an experience not soon to be forgotten. After lunch on your own, visit the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world, Birds of Eden.
Add an optional whale and dolphin boat experience (Additional cost, weather and time permitting).
Day 7 Tsitsikamma National Park
Journey along the final leg of the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Tsitsikamma is a Khoi word meaning "place of abundant or sparkling water." No other place exemplifies the name as much as when you stroll across a suspension bridge for the unbelievable views (and photo opportunities) of the Storms River mouth gorge. Arrive to Port Elizabeth in time for dinner before retiring to your hotel for the night.
Day 8 Fly to Durban
This morning transfer to the Port Elizabeth airport for your flight to Durban. Upon arrival to King Shaka International Airport transfer to Durban’s Golden Mile, a distinctive beach front, where your hotel is located. This afternoon discover the cultural and historical contrasts of the city on a guided city tour. Arrive at the harbor and hear about Durban’s origins before taking a slow drive through the city. See the historic Farewell Square, City Hall, Central Post Office, the Play House and Local History Museum. Visit the vibrant Victoria Market and the Botanical Gardens before returning to the hotel in late afternoon. This evening, explore the beachfront independently, a perfect place to find interesting curio shops and bistros.
Day 9 iSimangaliso Wetland Park

Journey up the Elephant Coast of KwaZulu Natal to St Lucia, located at the southern edge of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A boat trip provides the opportunity to see crocodiles, hippo, and several different species of birds, including the elusive African Kingfisher Eagle. This afternoon take a scenic drive up the Ubombo Mountains and stop for a visit at a local and authentic Zulu Homestead. At the summit of the mountain enjoy a cocktail, called a sundowner in Africa, as the sun sets over Lake Jonzini and return to your hotel for dinner on the terrace.
Day 10 Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve

This morning is yours to relax or participate at one of the optional activities offered from the lodge. Transfer to the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve for an afternoon game drive and try your hand at spotting the Big 5 as well as various other species on Africa safari. The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve covers a combined area of 90 000 ha and it was here that the white rhino was saved from extinction.
Day 11 Royal Kingdom of Swaziland
This tiny mountain kingdom is filled with bygone African traditions and culture and offers beautiful scenery and attractions such as game reserves and art & craft outlets. Spend time at the Mbabane craft market before transferring to the beautiful Ezulwini Valley, and your hotel for the night.
Day 12 Swaziland

Continue journeying through Swaziland to the Jeepe’s Reef border crossing, where you will enjoy a showcase of traditional Swazi culture and lunch at the Matsamo Cultural Village. En route visit the Ngwenya Glass Works to watch artisans create their masterpieces out of molten glass. Arrive at your hotel in time for dinner.
Day 13 Kruger National Park
Venture out into Kruger National Park in a traditional open air safari vehicle in search of Africa's Big 5! Spend the day exploring Kruger’s nearly 2 million hectares of reserve land, watching out for the huge number of local flora and fauna, including elephant, lion, cheetah, cape buffalo, giraffe, and hippo. Return to the lodge and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Optional evening safari available for additional cost.
Day 14 Depart South Africa
Your South African journey comes to an end today. Travel along the Panorama Route, stopping at Blyde River Valley, God’s Window, and the Mac Mac Falls on your way to Johannesburg. You tour ends at approximately 6 PM upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport.
