El Cafetel Organic Coffee Plantation tour and Millenium
After breakfast at Miconia, included with the room, we met Asuzanna for a tour of El Cafetel coffee plantation. I had worked here during my 10 weeks as a Volunteer teaching English so wanted the group to experience this plantation.
The tour was well planned and headed by the head of the plantation, including coffee and fruit after seeing the way coffee is grown in the Galapagos. The Biodigestor was no longer in service and the mulch we worked at creating was also not being done but still a great tour.
At 12 noon we met Jaime, our guide on Millenium and went onboard for lunch. He had planned an afternoon tour of the Galapaguera, which we had taken the day before, so he an one person who missed this trip, went and two of us toured the Frigate Bird Hill (Cerro Tijeratas) and Interpretation Center. Someone has stolen the finch off the shoulder of the Darwin Statue at the overlook of the bay. But all the other animals are there with Darwin.
Back aboard Millenium we had welcome aboard cocktails, crew introductions and dinner. Jaime explained our cruise itinerary. We would not see two of my favorite Islands - Fernandina with the flightless cormorants or Genovesa with the redfooted boobies. I asked about going to Punta Pitt where I had seen all three; Nasca, Bluefooted and Redfooted boobies, but was told no.
Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
