An eco-friendly camp, 4 Km from the Maasai Village of Engaresero, Lake Natron Halisi Camp offer guests a back-to-nature camp experience, where the focus is on the natural surroundings more than creature comforts. This environmentally conscious camp has no running water, but offers bush showers and boiled water upon request. There is no electricity, however solar energy powers the camp.
Enjoy a three course dinner in the common dining room, walk with the Maasai to the Engaresero waterfalls where you can enjoy a swim, and take in the grandeur of the sweeping views down to Lake Natron. The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
