-- Belize Adventure --

Grace Joanna Vergara (Belize Adventure, Dec 2007)
My experience with Adventure Life was phenomenal. Lodging was perfect. The tours were amazing. Food was great. The guides were nothing but helpful and courteous. I would definitely use you guys again and refer you to my friends and family.

Joanna Armstrong (Belize Adventure, Dec 2007)
All the local guides were wonderful. Mike and Damasco at Glover's Reef were very attentive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. They all took very good care of us. I wanted to make special mention of Cynthia, the cook on Glover's Reef who really went out of her way to accommodate my vegetarian diet at every meal. Everything she prepared was fantastic!

Alison Rivard and Family (Belize Adventure, Jan 2007)
Pook's Hill is a very special place. Belize is a wonderful country to visit and all the sites and activities were well worth seeing and doing.

Parul Mehta (Belize Explorer, Mar 2007)
I loved, loved, loved Pook's Hill. I could have not asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The guides at Pook's were phenomenal and very knowledgeable. They added some extra tours/walks once they found out what are interests are. George took us on a night hike through Pook's and Ben took us birding three times at Tikal. They were truly exceptional guides who really went out of their way to make sure our vacation was fun and memorable. I will never forget the guides from Pooks. They really enjoy what they do and they love interacting with others. Please send down a special thanks to George and Ben at Pooks!

This vacation was everything I expected and so much more. You did a fabulous job with matching a roommate. Kathy has been the best travel companion I have ever had. She was actually better to travel with then some of my best friends. Everyone in the group was exceptional.

Ursula and Howard Booth (Belize Explorer, Mar 2007)
We loved the relaxed atmosphere of the smaller hotels and the family-run enterprises. The tour provided plenty of variety. We really enjoyed Pook's Hill and could have easily spent another day there to hike, etc. The cave tour is one of a kind. Nice group, we bonded well with the younger folks.

Gerald Voras (Belize Explorer + Placencia, Mar 2006)
We both loved the tour. The food was spectacular at Pook's Hill and equally good at Rum Point Inn!

Tiffany Treece (Belize Explorer, Feb 2006)
Our guides were very welcoming and knowledgeable. The local guides were phenomenal - they were the best part of the trip. The tour was very interesting and informational and provided a good breadth of insight into the culture and history of the places that we visited.

Martha Curtiss (Belize Explorer + Monkey River, Feb 2006)
We had a wonderful trip! Thank you for listening to what we wanted. We especially enjoyed Pook's Hill and our other accommodations on the tour.

Bonnie and Joseph Lamphere (Rainforest and Ruins, May 2005)
We did things, went places, and saw things we never would have otherwise. This was not the "same old vacation" - and we had fun! I don't think that we've ever dealt with a travel company that took so much care with its customers. Usually, once the money is paid for a vacation, you're pretty much on your own. But we never felt that way at all with Adventure Life. There was always a resource person available and we really appreciated that. Thanks, we had a great time!

Stephanie & Craig Smith (Rainforest & Ruins Reversed, Apr 2004)
From their travel log: After we finished eating, Ben drove us to Pook's Hill Lodge. It was less than an hour ride down the main east-west highway before we finally turned off the main road. Suddenly we were on a small dirt road that wound through small houses with many children playing outide and along the street. Apparently this section was named "Phoenix" by the locals as the residents were moved away from areas along the river and forced to settle where there was no running water. Since the farmland along the rivers was owned by others, they had no choice but to move where available land was provided to them. After another 10 minutes of somewhat bumpy roads we arrived at the lodge. The lodge consists of eight thatched-roof cabanas and a separate building which houses an open-air bar, sitting area, and a screened-in dining room downstairs. It was a beautiful setting and a nice place to settle in after our rather jolting ride. We met Wim and Chantal Decoster, a Belgian couple who work at the lodge. We also met Vicki and Ray Snaddon, the owners. The layout of the grounds was very interesting as the cabanas were neatly placed around the onsite Mayan ruins.

Andrea Cambria and Richard Ricci (Rainforest & Ruins, Nov 2004)
Our guide Benjamin Cruz was amazing. Very knowledgeable, dedicated, educated. Work history in archeology and forest ranger - wide scope of knowledge. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate what wee wanted to do or see. Everyone pleasant and helpful. Vicki and Ray treated us like family. Overall tour was excellent. The sights and the attitude of the people made up for any inconvenience with the bugs. Our guide took us to the butterfly farm in Belize and on a canopy tour in Guatemala. Both were fantastic. Ben was the best guide we've ever had.

Tammy & Charles Converse (Rainforest & Ruins, Feb 2003)
Pooks Hill and the owners were great. Our guides were knowledgeable, educated - they interacted great with the group. These guys were great and very, very patient!! We went with no expectations and found a grand adventure! Not only will we book another trip next year, but we will recommend Adventure Life to our friends and associates.

-- Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye --

Katherine and John Dean (Belize Explorer-Ambergris, Mar 2007)
The Pook's Hill Lodge and Jungle Lodge were beautiful. The transfers worked well and were comfortable. Being met and accompanied by Viona was special. Our guides all seemed interested in imparting a respectful attitude toward their country, culture, and historic artifacts. This tour was very good and even pleased our thirteen-year-old daughter.

Throughout this tour we did something enjoyable and challenging each day and had a lot of first time opportunities. We were comfortable with the schedule and could not imagine adding or taking anything out. Your selection of activities, indigenous guides, and places to stay made for a great learning experience for first-time travelers. The cave experience was phenomenal.

Jennifer Lynn Owen (Belize Explorer-Ambergris, Jan 2007)
Ben Cruz-our guide for the first six days was one of the best parts of the trip. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and respectful of sites, etc. You could tell he loved Belize and his excitement was infectious. This tour was one of those life-changing experiences during which I found out a lot about the world and myself. Adventure Life's arrangements helped me feel safe, secure, and well cared for letting me get the most possible out of my trip.

Barbara Holtzapfel (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Mar 2006)
This trip was one of the best I've ever been on! There was not one problem during the entire week. Every activity - from canoeing and caving to the ruins and snorkeling - was super! We got a very good introduction to Belize and all the beauty of every area.

Michael Brennan and Deborah Larkin (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, May 2006)
We had a great time on our honeymoon! The tour guides were awesome! They were very knowledgeable in every area - including wildlife, plant life, modern and historic culture and archaeology.

George and Mary Better McClain (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, May 2006)
Our local guides were excellent!! They went out of their way to spend extra time with us to teach us about the animals, birds and Mayan culture.

Vicki Berchou (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye + Placencia, Mar 2006)
Guatemala was such an experience that we wish we'd taken extra days to see more of it! Our favorite experiences - aside from the great food - was the opportunity to spend a morning sharing breakfast with the Garcia Sisters. The Mayan immersion was terrific.

Lynette and Tom Thompson (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Feb 2006)
We were in awe for most of the time! The ruins at Tikal were awesome, and I really enjoyed breakfast at the Garcia Sisters. The setting for breakfast was very serene with birds all around us as we waited for our food to be brought by foot across the fields. It was a truly unique experience and gave great insight into the Mayan culture of today.

Thank you to all for making this a very memorable 30th wedding anniversary for us!

Christine Carbone (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Jan 2006)
This was one of the best vacations I've ever taken! There was a lot of diversity packed into 8 days, which made it very interesting but not too strenuous. The guides were wonderful and the lodges were perfect. Thanks for a great vacation!

Pam and Brian Layzell (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Feb 2006)
We not only enjoyed the activities and sites that we visited but also the way that the tour was conducted with respect to supporting the local economy. This allowed us to become more intimate with the people, their culture and their way of life. This could not have happened on a typical vacation, or if we would have planned the trip ourselves.

In particular, we enjoyed the Garcia Sisters breatfast. This was one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. The Mayan breakfast was excellent and it was a joy to witness their culture more closely and to hear the history of their artwork.

James Phillips (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Dec 2005)
Our trip to Belize was magnificent! Everyone had a good time, all accommodations were as advertised, the tours and guides were exceptional, everything was on time, and the local beer was yummy!

This is our second trip with Adventure Life, and the easy-going nature of the trip and the out of the way places we went to were the frosting on the cake. Thanks again for your efforts and efficiency.

Michael Goc (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Dec 2005)
We enjoyed every minute of our tour. The guides were excellent. They were pleasant and informative, and had excellent knowledge to share. They were always helpful and accommodating.

June Como (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Dec 2005)
The trip was fabulous and the attention to detail was obvious. It was a wonderful tour - we will be back!!

Richard, Kathleen, Elizabeth, and Christopher Hend (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Mar 2005)
The best part of this trip is its diversity - with the rainforest, Mayan ruins, and scuba and snorkeling activities. The contrast between Belize and Guatemala was very interesting. Our accommodations, as always, were in keeping with Adventure Life's goal of providing lodging that captures the flavor of the surrounding culture.

Karen and Aaron McWilliams (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Mar 2005)
We had a wonderful time! Actun Tunichil Muknal cave and Tikal were both awesome! We also loved the snorkeling. Really, the entire trip was wonderful!

William and Betty Reed (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Mar 2005)
Visiting Actun Tunichil Muknal cave was an amazing experience. We couldn't believe that we actually did that! We felt like it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and he helped us through any difficult parts.

Karin Dydell and Hamid Moazed (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Jan 2005)
We had a great time. There was a good mix and variety of activities.

Christopher & Ryan Wells (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Apr 2004)
Very impressive. Trip was a lovely mix of nature, archeaology and beach . Very highly recommended.

Flora and Michael Strollo (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Apr 2004)
We had a wonderful time. Our group was seven and with the guide, Ben Cruz, eight. We really felt so comfortable with each other and really shared in each others experience. It gave us all a real sense of the Mayan culture and an affection for the Mayan people. Ever since we've gotten home - my wife and I still smile and laugh about the adventure we enjoyed. It has been our most memorable vacation. Thank you!

Tim and Geri Marshall (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Apr 2004)
The tour overall was very good - just the right amount of activity and rest.

Bryan Rubin (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, May 2004)
The tour was spectacular. It completely exceeded any expectations that I had. I was initially a bit apprehensive about going as an independent traveler, but Christine assured me that it was quite normal, and I didn't feel uncomfortable for one minute. I felt the itinerary was perfect: enough action, down time, traveling and adventure to keep us busy, but not too much to feel rushed...Again, just to reiterate, I am beyond happy with how the trip went. It truly was a special 8 days; from meeting terrific people, to exciting adventures (the cave exploring was amazing, watching the sunset from the top of Tikal was sublime), the trip was phenomenal. Now the only problem is finding the vacation time to go on another one!

Robin Rasamny (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Dec 2004)
Pook's Hill was fabulous. Everybody was extremely friendly and knowledgable. The tour was wonderful and exceeded our expectations!

Karin Baumgartner (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Dec 2004)
This was my first tour ever, so I was apprehensive at first about the level of structure during the trip. However, since we were a small group, the tour guides accommodated our every wish and desire. I felt that this tour was a fantastic and safe way to get to know Central America. It gave me the confidence and knowledge to go back by myself! All of our local guides were incredibly knowledgeable and environmentally conscious. They could explain the country's idiosyncrasies and traditions and relate them to our own experiences. I think what I loved best of all was the sense of being seen as a person and not just a tourist. I felt more like a personal guest at every stop than a paying tourist.

Jim & Marjie Jobes (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Jan 2003)
Accommodations were wonderful! The beginning at the Tropical Education Center is a great start and introduction to the country. There are not enough words to describe how terrific the food and accommodations at Pooks Hill are. Ray and Vicki are gracious host and hostess. They make you feel welcome, teach the visitors about their country and are flexible in their accommodations. They're terrific and along with our guide, Benjamin, made a great trip... As a former ranger, Ben is a great naturalist, and such a booster that he was even willing to get up early to help identify birds as well as all the flora and fauna of Belize. And that's a lot. He is knowledgable about all aspects of what makes a good trip. He made us feel as if we were special insiders to Belize; and with Ben as our guide, we were.... Overall, the trip was more and better than we had expected. The country, its variety and the staff that Adventure Life has assembled made it a grand experience.

Connie Stone & Kenneth Graham (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Feb 2003)
Pooks Hill and the Tides Beach Resort were excellent. Lenney Gentle is an excellent tour leader. He is friendly, helpful, patient and knowledgable. His love of Belize enhanced our appreciation of the country. We had a great time and enjoyed all phases of the tour. Excellent adventures and activities. Belize is a fantastic place, and your tour offered a good sample of its cultural and environmental diversity. The cave tour at Actun Tunichil Muknal was a highlight of the trip for most of our group.

Donald Williams (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Mar 2003)
Vicki and Ray were great hosts and Ben Cruz is a very good guide. The Tides on Ambergris was very good with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed this trip so much we are planning on doing it next year with friends.

Gregg Wilkins (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Mar 2003)
Excellent - our guide Ben Cruz was the best - we can't say enough about his excellence. The food at Pooks Hill was fantastic.

Patricia & Richard Holloway (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Mar 2003)
Pooks Hill was excellent. Ben Cruz kept us on schedule for everything and was very accommodating to individual wishes - he made the trip for us. He was knowledgable, thoughtful, dedicated and careful to attend to all needs. Even after 4 months we are still enjoying telling people how much fun we had! It was exciting, educational and yet restful and relaxed.

Greg & Kim Mock (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Apr 2003)
This was the best vacation we have ever had - so many activities in different locations. Pooks Hill was wonderful & the end on the Caye was perfect. Our hosts and guide were like family by the end of the trip.

Jim and Donna Downum (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, May 2003)
Wow! I was so impressed. There were actually some surprises that were way beyond our expectations. I am not all that knowledgeable about tropical wildlife or how to spot it, so I was absolutely amazed by the display of birds and animals. A rare bird chirped right outside our window in the mornings. Toucans just flew right up close enough to take a picture with a point and shoot camera! On the canoeing trip we saw a great blue heron feasting in the river and then took flight right before our eyes! In Tikal the howler monkeys put on a "concert" for us both evening and morning. In the morning we realized they were right outside our door and we could actually see them! Spider monkey families were also playing in the trees just above our heads. Coatis, agoutis, iguanas, and many more creatures also graced us with their appearances. I had never snorkeled before so I was completely amazed by what I saw when I put my mask in the water. We were able to see a moray, an octopus, beautiful blue tangs, sharks, and so much more. The best surprise was the people Adventure Life arranged to help us. The Pook's Hill owners, Ray and Vicki, all of their staff, and particularly our guide, Lenney, were so knowledgeable, kind, interesting, and energetic. They were also committed to the balance of resources and economics. We would love to go back and stay with the very same people ... Read All

Doug Nelson and Shila Fisher (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Dec 2002)
Ben Cruz (guide) was awesome! He knew everything about everything Belize. The entire trip was like a study abroad class - extremely educational and informative. He was also funny, professional, and paid attention to every detail. We learned more, saw more, and experienced more than we expected. No other tour company I have traveled with even comes close.

-- Belize Explorer - Glovers Reef --

Chris and Julie Adwell (Belize Explorer - Glover Reef + Ambergris Caye, Apr 2006)
Everything was excellent - far more than we expected!!

Kathleen Nilles (Belize Explorer - Glover's Reef, Feb 2006)
The trip was an excellent combination of activities and sights.

Amanda Campbell (Belize Explorer - Glover's Reef, Feb 2006)
The guide from Pook's Hill was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and local wildlife, and he went out of his was - bent over backwards - to fit in extra time for bird watching with me.

All the folks at Glover's Reef were very accommodating and also knowledgeable. The dive master was skilled and a great naturalist. He was very good at making us feel comfortable and safe underwater. I went on a night dive with him and it was spectacular!

I was truly blown away by the phenomenal adventures on this trip!

Teresa Rennick and David Petersen (Belize Explorer - Glover's Reef, Jan 2006)
Our tour was varied but always relaxing. I'd kind of hate to leave one place but then I would fall in love with the next place we "lived". The cave [Actun Tunichil Muknal] was just amazing. Hiking there from Pook's Hill and wading through rivers to get there made it all the more adventuresome.

Doug Arnold (Belize Explorer - Glover's Reef, Feb 2006)
It was fabulous and wonderful to get to know about the cultures and history. Being immersed in the culture with guides that had such a passions for the history and the land was wonderful.

We found there are just as many likenesses as differences in hopes and dreams for mankind as we traveled. Not only were there groups of travelers from various countries to converse with but also local folks were very open to talking about history and today's politics.

Pook's Hill was mystical and our guide's teachings of Mayan archaeology and his knowledge of the birds and nature was breathtaking. The Actun Tunichil Muknal cave excursion was simply indescribable, and frankly, to try to describe it would be a disgrace to the spirits of the cave.

Breakfast with the Garcia Sisters helped to bridge the Mayan experience from past to present. The flavors of cooking and expression in their art work set the stage from the depths of the cave to climbing every step to the clouds Tikal.

Tikal has been described and photographed to the max, but perhaps I can share my love of nature here. Covered in the dense canopy of jungle, you hear the abrupt howl of the monkeys calling to each other (spying on you, spying on them). Sunset brings out all of the large birds. They herald the end of the day in their flight. What a show of wild bright colors and each species ... Read All

Russell and Jane Dempsey (Belize Explorer - Glover's Reef, Feb 2005)
This was the vacation by which all future vacations will be judged! It felt like we were away for months. It seems impossible that we could have had so many wonderful experiences or learned so much in only 9 days!

*****You can read the daily journal of Russ and Jane's trip and access their picture gallery by clicking on the link!

Monte Harris (Belize Explorer - Glover's, Jan 2005)
The tour guide for the inland portion of the trip was probably the best guide that I have ever seen! Very organized, and always there ahead of time when we were to meet. Also, Pook's Hill Lodge is one of the most interesting places I've ever stayed! The tour was great.

Greg and Bridget Litten (Belize Explorer - Glover's Reef, Jan 2005)
The trip was a really good mix of natural and cultural experiences. When we spent three days on a gorgeous atoll by ourselves we didn't think it could get any better! But when we arrived at Pook's Hill, we were welcomed into their family and the journey and our travels became a very rewarding experience. Even the scenery just got better and better!

Steve and Barbara Helman (Belize Explorer - Glover's, Feb 2004)
This tour was one of the best that we have ever done. The guides and local crews pleasantly surprised us with their friendliness and enthusiasm. The food was also very good. The trip was everything expected and more. We were overall very pleased with the trip and plan to book future trips with you.

Kat Ridolfi & Lloyd Grove (Belize Explorer - Glover's, Mar 2004)
Everything was so incredible. The excursions and trip plan in general were so incredibly well planned. A perfect blend of excitement, activity, and relaxation. The staff were all wonderful - so informative and enthusiastic. We especially loved Glover's Atoll and Pook's Hill - what magical places! We didn't want to leave! Adventure Life made everything so easy and let us discover Belize just the way we wanted to - without feeling like being dragged along on a tour. Just amazing - we couldn't recommend it more!

Tim and Geri Marshall (Belize Explorer - Glover's, Apr 2004)
The tour overall was very good - just the right amount of activity and rest.

Savita Kamath (Belize Explorer - Glover's, Dec 2004)
The highlight of the tour was the Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave tour! I also enjoyed being at Pook's Hill -- a very friendly place with warm people. I loved dinner time, when all of us would gather to have our dinner together. It was nice meeting people from all over and hearing their experiences. The guides were great as well, each wonderful in their own ways!

Sarah Franklin (Belize Explorer - Glover's, Nov 2003)
The trip covered a whole spectrum of adventurous activities. There was never a dull moment but still just enough time on your own!! Our guide and hosts took every precaution to see that we were well taken care of and that all of our needs were met. I would do it again. It was a wonderful break from being a "tourist."

Sandra Woerner (Belize Explorer - Glover's, Nov 2003)
I can't say enough good things about Pook's Hill. It was breath taking and Vicki and Ray were perfect hosts. Our guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable and personable. The entire trip was wonderful. I would heartily recommend the trip.

-- Dive Belize --

Robin and Robert Brooks - Kigolosi (Dive Belize, Feb 2004)
Couldn't be better! Professional, organized, friendly. Far more than we expected or hoped.

Mary Constantino (Dive Belize, Dec 2003)
Let me just tell you about my experience at Turneffe Flats in Belize. It was amazing! After arriving in Belize and stepping off the plane, you are greeted at the airport and head directly to the marina. The boat ride to Turneffe is about 90 minutes, but if you are as fortunate as I was, you get a spectacular sunset ride through the Mangroves along the way. From that point on Andy, Sam, Jason, Tuanya and the entire Turneffe staff takes care of you and makes your stay a spectacular one. Every morning you arise to coffee delivered on your veranda, which is only about 15 feet from the ocean. Palm trees rustling in the breeze, ocean waves, and the rising sun make you feel like you have opened your door and stepped into a little slice of heaven. Your breakfast is made to order and the rest of the meals are served family style. It is so much fun to hear the stories of the day's events from other guests during this time. You can really tell that the staff is excited to hear about what you saw or did that day and that they share your enthusiasm. They are truly genuine people. By the end of your stay, you will be spoiled by the superior treatment as well as the fresh bread, pastries, and some of the tastiest local and fresh caught cuisine every day.

Now lets talk about the diving. Each dive was different and there were rarely other dive boats in sight. The great ... Read All

The adventure to Belize was exciting and most enjoyable. The communication and arrangements with Adventure Life were extremely professional, efficient, and friendly. I can't say enough about how we were taken care of before the trip.

Tom and Jane Young (Hamanasi 8 Day, Dec 2006)
The "Adventure" to Belize was exciting and most enjoyable. The communication and arrangements through and with Adventure Life were extremely professional, efficient, and friendly. I can't say enough about how we were taken care up before the trip.

Andrew White (Hamanasi Adventure, Feb 2006)
Everyone was very helpful and pleasant throughout the whole process.

Bernadette Gollhofer (Hamanasi Adventure, Jan 2006)
Hamanasi was a very comfortable, resort-style lodge - and the food was excellent. Our local guides were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. This tour was a great combination of relaxing in a beautiful spot and a jungle adventure!

Summer and Jacobe Noonan (Hamanasi Adventure, Nov 2005)
Our tour was awesome! Nothing is cooler than the Hamanasi Treeshouse Cabanas!

Karen, Brian and Rose Swift (Hamanasi Adventure, Jun 2005)
What an easy vacation! All the details were taken care of. Hamanasi was way above our expectations. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff was excellent. The day tours were exceptional with a superb variety of things to do. Each of us had a different favorite activity! This is one of the nicest organized vacations we've been on. We'd recommend this to everyone!

Rachel Elinsky (Hamanasi Adventure, May 2005)
Everyone at Hamanasi was wonderfully helpful and friendly. They helped to make our experience very favorable. The tour was wonderful! We loved the resort - the pool and beach were beautiful. The excursions were interesting and what we had expected. We particularly loved the diving and hiking trip. I would whole-heartedly recommend this trip to anyone interested in low-key elegance and fund adventures in a beautifully untainted part of the world!

Iles and Dorothy Wauhop and Group (Hamanasi Adventure, May 2005)
Every leg of our trip went smoothly. We even arrived a bit early most of the time! The excursions were well run and fit nicely in the time frame. The entire staff at Hamanasi was personable, friendly and helpful. The tour was a most unique and memorable experience for our family.

Andre and Pirjo Lesperance (Hamanasi Adventure, May 2005)
This was a most memorable trip for both of us. We would highly recommend Hamanasi Resort and the diversity of adventure excursions offered there to anyone that is looking for a more adventurous vacation. Our guides were very enthusiastic and they had a wealth of knowledge about the natural history of Belize. Our guides were able to satisfy our curiosity on just about any topic - birds, tropical plants, native wildlife, etc. The hikes were challenging yet immensely rewarding. Belize is an amazing country with friendly people that are enthusiastic to share it with visitors. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Jeff Ostroff (Hamanasi Adventure, Apr 2005)
I enjoyed the most stress-free diving that I have had in my short diving career! The crew did everything to make new divers feel welcome and comfortable. The Hamanasi staff is sensational!

Ed and Connie Rosenkranz (Hamanasi Adventure + Ambergris Caye, Mar 2005)
We were treated like royalty at Hamanasi - we didn't want to leave! The people of Hopkins village (near Hamanasi Resort) are some of the nicest people on earth! We made many friends for life. Many of the locals even invited us into their homes to share their local cuisine with us.

Friderun and Elwyn Simons (Hamanasi Adventure, Mar 2005)
The tour was wonderful - just what we had hoped for! It was just the right balance of adventure and rest. We were so happy when we entered the beautiful rooms decorated with fresh blossoms and tropical leaves. The grounds are colorfully planted with tropical beauties and they were well maintained - it was almost a paradise!

Cale Marthens and Katie Wetherington (Hamanasi Adventure, Jan 2005)
Hamanasi was very down-to-earth, personal, and had every little detail covered - from the personal welcome note on our pillow that was written on a mango leaf, to the bed being turned down every night when we returned from dinner. Absolutely wonderful for a honeymoon!

Carolyn Baker and Charles Mavrogeorge (Hamanasi Adventure, Jan 2005)
Hamanasi is like something from a bygone time. I've been on other adventure tours, but this one was different - very special.

Megan Charles and Ted Borris (Hamanasi Adventure, Feb 2004)
The tour truly exceeded my expectations! The guides knew their country inside and out on topics ranging from history and culture to wildlife and everything in between! The treehouse lodge was an exquisite and intimate setting for a quiet vacation. I would definitely recommend Adventure Life to my friends and will most likely book another adventure.

Rebecca Morgan (Hamanasi Adventure + Ambergris Extension, Apr 2004)
Tour was great. We had a wonderful time and really fell in love with Belize.

Mary Louise and Bruce Wilson (Hamanasi Adventure, Dec 2004)
All snorkeling and tour guides at Hamanasi were excellent!! Karen, who was in charge of the dive shop, was very good!! All employees of Hamanasi were extremely helpful and caring and friendly. Trip was excellent - except for the insects.

Ellen and Kenneth Kaye (Hamanasi Adventure, Jan 2003)
The treehouse was excellent, lots of privacy and well appointed and roomy and clean. It was great to have remote controlled A.C....We loved the snorkeling, accompanied by a guide to point out what we're seeing.

Troy Family (Hamanasi Adventure, Feb 2003)
Very, very nice. A beautiful setting, clean and comfortable. The local crew were superb. The flexbility and friendliness of the staff help make the trip.

Andrea Montony (Hamanasi Adventure, Mar 2003)
This trip was exactly what I wanted. From the time we arrived until the time we left the service was amazing. You picked a beautiful resort that had an amazing staff, great tours and you made this the perfect vacation.

Nicholas Bungard (Hamanasi Adventure, Mar 2003)
You made it easy to go on a trip halfway around the world! Hamanasi was excellent, the staff there were awesome. The food was fantastic! I loved my trip to Belize it is and will always be one of the fondest memories I have - thanks to Hamanasi and Adventure Life.

Rebecca Persun (Hamanasi Adventure, Mar 2003)
Adventure Life was always available to answer our questions. Hamanasi was above and beyond anything we could have expected. Gorgeous setting and very comfortable rooms - amazing food. We couldn't have asked for a better local crew, they were all so much fun and willing to help us out with anything - they made our trip!

The Leach Family (Hamanasi Adventure, Mar 2003)
Hamanasi is lovely, friendly, peaceful. Lunches on tours were very good. The guides were friendly, funny and knowledgable.

Tammy Pollock (Hamanasi Adventure, Dec 2002)
We were able to stay in a tree house for the entire trip and it was beautiful. The place was fabulous - the staff incredible helpful and friendly, the day trips amazing, and the days we stayed back at the resort we had the entire beach to ourselves. It was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation that we were looking for. And even the food was great....As you continue to refer this package to people, please be confident in Hamanasi's ability to provide the perfect holiday.

Larry Ceplair and Christine Holmgren (Mayan Mysteries, Jan 2004)
This was one of our best trips. The Maya Mountain staff was the best, very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was terrific, things were on time to the minute, and the local crew was helpful. The tour was all we expected - there were no hitches or glitches.

Arthur & Barbara Gold (Mayan Mysteries, Apr 2004)
This was a great trip with our 13 year old grandson. The activies were varied and there was much to see. The guides were most effective as well as the Lodge staff.

Christina Mahle (Mayan Mysteries, Apr 2004)
The local guides were terrific - different and yet all dedicated and knowledgeable. The Maya Mountain Lodge staff is friendly, responsible and helpful and treat you very well. You see so much in one week - and yet there is so much more in Belize alone and it's such a small country -- ruins, forest, mountain, rivers, animals, caves...

Cat Wiggin & Erik Gross (Mayan Mysteries, Feb 2003)
Maya Mountain Lodge was great, the meals were wonderful .... we ate way too much!! Good food and an even better staff! Everyone was extremely friendly and our waitstaff would actually sit down with us and talk. Our guide was excellent and became our friend. The tour was actually better than we expected.

Roger Montemayor (Mayan Mysteries, Feb 2002)
The tour included just about all aspects of Belize. The trip leader was excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful, very friendly. A true asset for your company. He went above and beyond his duties! All accommodations were also excellent. Personnel at hotels were very friendly and helpful.

Diana Jones (Mayan Mysteries, Feb 2002)
Lenny Gentle (our guide) is exemplary in his care and consideration for one's well being and in his attention to detail. We were impressed by his depth of knowledge. On our day at the Five Sisters Lodge he took us on a memorable trip to Caracol, where thanks to his good standing with the leading architect of Belize, we were privledged to see the latest find- a newly discovered mask which very few had been allowed to see before. Nothing was too much trouble. He is marvellous and his pride was infectious! We were constantly delighted at the skill shown not only by Lenny, but by our local guides, in spotting wild creatures and at the pride with which they showed them to us! We loved the Mayan Mountain Lodge and the Five Sisters Lodge particularly. When we arrived back at the former after the excursion to Guatemala, it was like being welcomed home!

Judy Van Osdel (Mayan Mysteries, Mar 2002)
I had a wonderful vacation. I loved seeing the howler monkeys up close. I actually saw them blow out their necks and howl! The birds are great in Tikal, especially from the top of the temple. You can see the parrots and toucan flying around you. The people in Belize and Guatemala that I encountered were very friendly. Lenny (our guide) is wonderful. He is friendly, knowledgable, and organized. I will always remember the tour. Truly an adventure.

Andy Heller (Mayan Mysteries, Mar 2002)
Your company is A-1, first class. The trip was incredibly well researched, from lodgings to guides. Belize is an absolutely beautiful country. I hope to visit it many more times. Keep up the excellent program! Lenney Gentle (our guide) was absolutely great. Can't imagine anyone better. Whatever you do, keep him as one of your trip leaders!

Steve Brien & Janet Piercy (Mayan Mysteries, Dec 2002)
Maya Mountain was wonderful, comfortable, clean and the food was fantastic! Bart was very nice and interested in our adventures.... Manfred's passion for Belize's ruins, and the country in general were obvious in his descriptions and explanations.... The staff at Maya Mountain were the best! The food top notch! Especially the Belizan styled food! It was all very good with lots of variety, and the boxed lunches were great too. The cooks were sensational, the waiters were engaging, funny and genuinely interested in us, the other staff were friendly and helpful too. We will strongly consider using Adventure Life for future trips! Thank you for all your help - we had so much fun.

We loved our guide, Adrian, who knew a lot about marine life because he was a marine biologist. Ian our "Iron Chef" was amazing in making sure I always had more than enough to eat in order to sustain us-I wish I could bring him home. I was always content and looked forward to the next meal he would wow us with!

This tour was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone I know!

Kathy Riley (Reefs and Cayes, Mar 2006)
The local guide was the very best. He went above and beyond. He was very, very knowledgeable, caring and thoughtful. I loved the kayaking and snorkeling. But the best part was that our guide gave me a very special day by taking us birding for a whole day. It was the best day that I will ever have birding!

Sarah Ellis (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2006)
The tour was wonderful. Our local crew was helpful, kind, courteous and fun. The local coordinators used high-end equipment and they were highly professional and educated about Belize.

Penny Lasater (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2006)
The local guides and staff, particularly Dave Vernon, were excellent. Dave is a world-class person and naturalist - he couldn't have been better!

Halle Butvin (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2006)
It’s so difficult to even put our Belize experience into words. Even though the trip was only six days, it was long enough to make a permanent impression on both our lives. Words cannot explain the feeling you get when you spot “the island” on the horizon. It’s so small and picturesque, and so quickly feels like home! Our guide and crew set up our camp very quickly while we relaxed and started to take it all in. Being surrounded by 360 degrees of sea and sky can have quite an effect on your psyche – we found ourselves discussing the origin of the universe while stargazing at night. The brightness of the stars was so immense that it felt like you could reach out and grab a handful of them to take home.

The kayaking was wonderful (my first experience with sea kayaking). The snorkeling blew away any snorkeling experience I’d previously had. Reef life at each stop was completely varied, which made every trip worthwhile and enjoyable. Snorkeling at night was one of my favorite times – we saw lobster, nurse sharks and huge hermit crabs. Our guide always pointed out the sea life and then told us all about it later on. Our trip to the Barrier Reef was the most beautiful.

The social dynamic of our group was an unexpected gift. There were seven of us hailing from all over the globe, and our departure from Belize was mostly tearful because we had ... Read All

We had a wonderful experience! Everything was taken care of down to the most minute detail. It was nice to be in a small group during our tour. All of our personalities meshed very well and we developed close friendships by the end of the trip. Thanks for such a memorable vacation!!!

Adventure Life & Future Explorers!

I need to let you know how incredibly amazing our trip to Belize was on the 6 Day Reefs & Cayes excursion. We landed in that charming village of Placencia on Day 1, soaked up the culture and walked the Narrowest Street in the World, according to Guinness Book of World Records. We enjoyed purchasing handicrafts from the Mayan children who create them and travel to the village to sell their wares. The Creole signage everywhere really gave you a feel for the place. We passed huts wafting the smell of broiled chicken and fried plantains, smelled the fresh laundry drying in the sun, and breathed in the warm salty air. Our stay at the Westwind Hotel was relaxing, and we enjoyed laidback conversation with George, the easygoing hotel owner. Fish dinner at De Thatch, a rosewood floored and thatch roofed restaurant on the beach, was fantastic. The next four days were heaven. The seven of us ‘adventure tourists’ were a motley crew: an Italian diplomat that had a knack for making balloon animals (don’t ask), a doctor and cop newlywed couple from Houston, a bookseller from England, and a Chilean whose mother is a classical guitarist. And then me and Halle, two friends from a small suburb of northern Ohio. It was a dynamic group. Our amazing guide, Arthur, really made the trip. He was so knowledgeable about the species of ... The tour was wonderful. We had a great time and our expectations were exceeded! Our guide was outstanding and a beautiful person! He was knowledgeable about the environment, history, and culture of Belize, and shared with us in an extremely unpretentious manner. He was also extremely empathetic as to each participant's abilities and desires, and was able to fulfill and exceed each of our expectations.

Ted Johnson (Reefs and Cayes, Jan 2006)
Our guides were awesome! Arthur was a real treat, and the cook made us the best food ever!

Elisabeth and Maria Coats (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2004)
The tour was excellent - we had a great time. It was just wonderful to be camping on a very small island surrounded by a reef. Great company, excellent food…we'd love to go back!

Cathy Doman (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2004)
Everything was great! Dave was very informative and organized. Arthur was fantastic, funny, and willing to help in any way. The local food was great to experience, and fresh seafood!! As a single traveler, working with the folks at Adventure Life made it very easy to set up. I felt comfortable from the minute I stepped off the plane in Placencia and was picked up. The caliber of people on the trip and those organizing it were outstanding.

Natanya and John Blackwel (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2004)
I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was looking for a trip that was low-key, educational, low-impact and fun and this was it.

Pam McClure (Reefs and Cayes Holiday Trip, Dec 2004)
The trip was awesome, everything you said and more. Our guide was outstanding, sharing his knowledge of the area. It was a great and chaos free adventure.

Paul Turner & Paula Marinigh (Reefs and Cayes Holiday Trip, Dec 2004)
We loved the tour and wouldn't change a thing! The guides made the trip. They were knowledgable, personable, and accommodating without treating us like tourists.

Steve Seninger (Reefs and Cayes, Mar 2003)
Dave is an excellent guide. Fresh seafood every day - what more can I ask for?!!

Rich & Maureen Kotlas (Reef and Cayes + Pooks Hill Extension, Apr 2003)
Our last minute requests were taken care of with ease. Pooks Hill was a piece of heaven. Everyone was great and the tour was more than we expected.

Alex Price (Reefs and Cayes, Apr 2003)
If you'd like to kayak under a full moon, snorkel with abundant marine life, see octupus and stingrays; watch the stars without a single light obstructing your view, paddle on glassy crystal clear waters, find your own reef to snorkel alone, live simply or just soak the water and sun this one's for you!!

Bill Dodson (Reefs and Cayes, Apr 2003)
How could it have been better? Dave was an excellent guide - very caring - he wasn't just a leader he was a teacher. The trip exceeded my expectations in every way. I have already booked my next trip with Adventure Life - a totally professional organization.

Susan Stern (Reefs and Cayes, May 2003)
Rum Point was worth every penny.A++ Dave's wisdom and background made the trip authentic. Placencia is a jewel for folks who like open friendly places. No luxuries here, but a goldmine of cultural color and natural surprises.

Katherine Weaver (Reefs and Cayes, May 2003)
Fantastic!!! Deb & Dave were great, very knowledgable and great food. A terrific trip - Rum Point Inn and Silk caye were great.

Christine Anderson (Reefs and Cayes, May 2003)
Dave was a wonderful guide - knowledgable and helpful. The cooking was excellent. Rum Point was one of the best places I have ever stayed. This was the most exciting trip I have been on, I wish I could can the sense of peace I felt while I was in "tropical paradise".

Chad Higgins (Reefs and Cayes, May 2003)
The pre-departure information was very thorough. The Westwind had a beautiful view and I loved the fact there was no phone or TV. Dave was a very personable and friendly guide. It was evident he loves Belize. Ian did an incredible job with our food. This vacation exceeded my every expectation - it allows you to get away from the stresses that fill our every day lives. All there is, is beautiful scenery and a great chance to enjoy the outdoors. My most favorite vacation ever taken.

Paula Liss (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2002)
Dave Vernon (trip leader) was excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, intelligent. We very much enjoyed everything we did and have a very favorable impression of Belize. The Queen Cayes are paradise!

Sue Hoff (Reefs and Cayes, Feb 2002)
Dave Vernon (trip leader) is knowledgeable, warm, accommodating, and sensitive to the needs/ abilities of his guests. Leslie's cooking was outstanding! We enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was everything a vacation should be!

Our local guides and leaders; Jamie, Pedro, and Camillio, were exceptional and really made the trip special. I cannot believe how good the food was overall. Jamie was a great cook and made sure we had enough to eat. This tour was a ten! The only problem is that I will be comparing every active trip that I take to this one...and it will probably come up short. I am already counting down for my next trip with Adventure Life.

Elizabeth McLaughlin (Ultimate Adventure, Apr 2004)
Staff was quickly accommodating - I decided to go only one month prior to the date of departure. All advice (pre-departure) was right on, guides are superb, and overall arrangements flowed smoothly and left us carefree. Absolutely worth every penny!

Roger Delott (Ultimate Adventure, Dec 2003)
The tour was wonderful. The accommodations were excellent and the staff was all very good.
