Alex was one of the best guides we have ever had. He is knowledgeable, friendly and a joy to be with. He was key to our enjoyment of everything we did in Peru, not just on the trail. We would want to be with him again if we returned.

We are very happy we chose the Inca Trail instead of the train to Machu Picchu. The feeling of accomplishment, the bonding with fellow trekkers, the 8 days of sharing with our guide Alex and the friendliness of our cook, porters and all the Peruvian people we met made this vacation a rare rewarding lasting memory.
