Our guide for Xunantunich and the ATM cave was Hector, from Pooks Hill. He was FANTASTIC. Friendly, helpful and fun, all while making sure we were always safe. He is of Mayan ancestry and I really admired his great respect and knowledge of the Mayan ruins, as well as his enthusiasm to share these historical facts with us. Our guide to Hol Chan was Alphonse, arranged by the Xanadu resort. I've been on many snorkeling trips and he was outstanding.On a scale of 1 to 10, his energy level is about 20!

The ATM cave was definitely one of the highlights of our trip, a real once-in-a-lifetime experience. And as I mentioned our guide, Hector, was brilliant. First and foremost was the safety of our group and I couldn't have felt more taken care of in that cave.
