Loved all the accommodations, including the tent. I hope that you try to select locally-owned (Peruvian in this case) hotel/hostal owners when possible.

The food selection was obviously modified to meet our needs/requests for less meat and more grains. We were grateful for that. The food was tasty and healthy and plentiful.

I was traveling with my 15-year-old daughter. We were a trek of two, with a "staff" of five porters a cook and a guide. Maybe we were a bit over-staffed? On the other hand, the logistics and activities and service was magnificent throughout the trip. We had hoped to meet a few other travelers along the way, but that ended up being challenging because each of the other groups was self-contained and kept to themselves.
