-- Argentina Glacier Adventure --

Courtney Family (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Dec 2007)
The itinerary was excellent. It was perfect to have the tour of the Perito Moreno glacier follow the four days of trekking. The views were spectacular. It was a great experience that our family will always remember.

Michelle Haas (Argentina Glacier Adventure 8-Day, Feb 2007)
Pedro was awesome! Such a friendly guy-very informed on the park and its geography-he was always smiling and even sang and danced a bit. The cooks were great; again really friendly. Porters always got things to the next destination safe and camp was set up great. I can't really say enough about Pedro. I have already told friends to ask specifically for him if they end up booking this trip!

Michael and Edith-Nicole Cameron (Argentina Glacier Adventure 8-Day, Dec 2006)
The Glacier Adventure Tour was truly fantastic. I would defintely recommend this tour.

John O'Neill (Argentina Glacier Adventure 8-Day, Dec 2006)
Our Adventure tour was absolutely great and Adventure Life's efforts to get me to my subsequent destination, room reservations, etc. could not have been better.

Mary Schomer (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Mar 2006)
The trip was wonderful - very well run with very supportive guides. I was very nervous about my ability to keep up with the group, as this was a very strenuous trekking trip. But our guide was so reassuring and encouraging. He went the extra mile and more! His enthusiasm was infectious. The environment was pristine and I think it might stay that way because the guides transmit such strong feelings for the purity of their environment.

Mike Sos (Argentina Glacier Adventure + Ushuaia, Mar 2006)
The trip was better than what I had imagined. Phenomenal scenery and wonderful people!

Teresa Weinstein (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Feb 2006)
Everything was very organized and on time. We knew exactly what to expect. Our guides were fantastic - knowledgeable and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure everything was satisfactory.

Louise Paton (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Jan 2006)
We loved the trek, had lots of fun, and took some great photos. Our local crew was very friendly and helpful.

Edward and Kandy Hutman (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Jan 2006)
Here's the most amazing thing.... At home, I have aches and pains in a knee and in my lower back. But walking many, many, wonderful hours each day in Patagonia amongst mountains, rivers, lagoons and glacial moraines, these aches and pains disappeared! It was as though I had lubricated my joints and everything worked much better. Maybe it was the pristine water that we filled our bottles with - fresh from glacial melt - that was so good for us. Whatever it was, I loved the outcome!

Neal Paxon (Argentina Glacier Adventure and Iguazu Falls, Nov 2005)
The guides in Patagonia were fabulous and gave excellent support, particularly Pedro Fina whom we worked with the most. The food and lodging were great -I loved the tour.

Linda Plaut (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Dec 2005)
We were tremendously pleased with the trip and the services provided. We loved hiking in both countries. In Argentina, we especially enjoyed our views of Fitzroy and the hiking to Lago Sucia. We also enjoyed the experiences of using crampons to hike on Torre Glacier and on Perito Moreno Glacier. It was nice having the time to see Perito Moreno up close and from many different levels. In Chile, the hike up the French Valley and the stunning hike to the base of Torres del Paine were highlights.

Debra Reynolds Hammerschlag and Steven Hammerschla (Argentina Glacier Adventure + Ushuaia, Apr 2005)
The trip exceeded our expectations! Everything was well planned. We felt that our vacation time was efficiently used and we didn't waste a lot of time waiting around. Absolutely perfect! Thank you.

Santokh Sigh and Surita Sidhu (Argentina Glacier Adventure Private Tour, Mar 2005)
The tour was fantastic! We really appreciate your flexibility in organizing a private tour for us. Our guide and the local staff were amazing! They really made the trip.

Karen Kolln (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Jan 2005)
Overall it was one of the best experiences of my entire life! Our group got along really well together, but what really made the tour was our phenomenal guide! The itinerary was wonderful and we were blessed with spectacular weather. Our guide and all the others that helped with the tour were super! The Argentinean people are so warm, helpful, open, and eager to meet you! In all, the tour was much more than I expected!

Leila Fujii (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Jan 2005)
I really liked the small group size. Adventure Life did a fabulous job of putting the tour together. I had such a great time!

Kara Hedges (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Feb 2005)
The tour was a great experience! Our guide was fantastic. He was a real expert and very knowledgeable about the area.

Rich Stegina (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Feb 2005)
The Argentina Glacier Adventure will stick out as a life-long memory! I appreciate all the up-front planning that Adventure Life put into the trip. It was the perfect balance of being organized without feeling controlled or overly commercial. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone seeking an adventure of a lifetime. I can safely say that everyone on the trip was totally blown away with the sites, the accommodations, and the feeling of getting away from the daily stresses. The sights of the glaciers were incredible, as well as the hikes to view Mt. Fitz Roy. Our guide did a great job of being professional while allowing us the ability to go at our own pace.

Scot Travers (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Jan 2004)
The tour was excellent! Our guide, Frederico, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable, well organized, and had a great sense of humor. Frederico was a big part of what made the tour special. The local crews were all great, very friendly and professional. I was very happy with the overall tour experience and would recommend it to my friends. Patagonia is simply a fabulous, friendly place to go.

Janis Blanton (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Feb 2004)
The local crews on the tour were as good as they get. Our country and hiking guides were great and always looking after us.

Jonathan & Christine Lyons (Argentina Glacier Adventure, Mar 2004)
The hotels and inns were all well-located and comfortable. The local guides were the best part of our trip.. In Chalten, Gabriel was just perfect. The cook on the trek did a great job- food was good and plentiful (and hot!). This was the first time we ever took a trip and didn't make the arrangements ourselves. It was clear within the first few days that we could have never had such a full experience without the expertise and support of your local guides. The trip was perfectly suited to our level of activity. Great long hikes but at a good pace. We'd have come back thinner if the steaks weren't so great! We've been lucky to see a lot of beautiful places, and Patagonia tops them all.

-- Awesome Argentina --

Michael and Kurt Metscher (Awesome Argentina, Mar 2007)
We had excellent guides at each location and the tour was well put together. We had a great time. It was really more than we expected. The brochures and web pages did not do it justice.

Scotty Folger (Awesome Argentina, Feb 2007)
Jenny and Jessica were both helpful and enthusiastic which got me excited about my trip. Leoni, who was with us the last three days in Valdez, was superb. The food on the trek was excellent. They accommodated for dietary choices such as vegetarian or vegetarian with fish. This trip was great and I would recommend it in a heartbeat!

Jeff Sherz and Rachel Mele (Awesome Argentina, Mar 2007)
Our guide, Leon, who led us through the Peninsula Valley, deserves special mention. He arranged our itinerary for maximum impact and was extremely knowledgeable and attentive.

This trip through Iguazu Falls was also remarkable-especially as we knew nothing of the repelling or zip lines that awaited us. Also very special was the glacier mini-trekking in El Calafate. We had never had crampons before or had this type of exhilarating opportunity and experience.

We had a wonderful time. Argentineans were helpful and quite appealing. If the world were not so big we would definitely go back. Great trip!

Dave Voelker (Awesome Argentina, Dec 2006)
This tour was everything I expected!

John Tibbals (Awesome Argentina, Nov 2006)
Overall, this was an excellent tour. The friendliness and enthusiasm of the tour leaders and local guides was excellent-especially Marko Doctorovich on Peninsula Valdes.

Barry and Donna Burtis (Awesome Argentina, Nov 2006)
We particularly enjoyed our visits to the Punta Tombo penguin colony, our visit to the Valdes Peninsula, and the mini-trekking excursion out onto the glacier at Los Glaciares National Park. In each case the visits were exciting and made better and more enjoyable by the pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful guides.

Anne Teicher (Peninsula Valdez and Ushuaia Custom Tour, Feb 2006)
We fell in love with Patagonia. We walked among the penguins, sat on the beach watching elephant seals molt, and learned more about the wildlife - flora and fauna - than I would have imagined. The country was beautiful and the guides we had made this a very special trip.

Linda Leikin (Awesome Argentina Custom Tour, Apr 2005)
We had an absolutely fabulous trip to Argentina. Of particular note are the tour guides in Ushuaia - they are fantastic! They are incredibly nice, extremely knowledgeable, and great cooks.

Kenneth and Charlene Bunger (Awesome Argentina + Mare Australis, Feb 2005)
The tour was great! The ship crew and also our guides were wonderful. They were always helpful, fun and professional.

Wendy and Ken Keaton (Awesome Argentina, Mar 2005)
Our Awesome Argentina trip was, frankly, one of The Great Vacations! We had some great adventures, met some wonderful people, encountered magnificent natural beauties, and explored a fascinating culture. Food, accommodations, transportation, and the organization and care put into planning the trip were all beyond reproach.

Jeralyn O'Brien (Awesome Argentina, Mar 2005)
Adventure Life put together a great trip, did all the planning and work, and I just enjoyed! It really was an awesome trip and I would definitely be interested in traveling with your company again!

Paula and Alton Fraiser (Awesome Argentina, Dec 2004)
The tour was wonderful! I especially loved the penguin colony and the chance to walk among the birds. This trip makes me want to return to Argentina to see more!

Barbara and Charles Hume (Awesome Argentina, Dec 2004)
The trip was well organized and we had a great time! Thanks for arranging a really memorable trip.

Mary Satterlee (Awesome Argentina, Jan 2004)
This is an incredible country. The private nature of our tours and transfers was wonderful! The tour guides were also excellent.

Monique Garsaud (Awesome Argentina, Jan 2004)
Overall our trip was fabulous. Our local tour guides, in particular in Ushuaia, were outstanding. We were quite pleased to have tours with guides who genuinely loved Patagonia and appreciated our visit to their homeland. They were extremely knowledgeable. The trip was amazing; I'd do it again!

Cynthia, Elwood, & Scott Barnes and Jacqueline Jar (Awesome Argentina, Feb 2004)
The trip was awesome! The tour operators were outstanding, and especially those in the Peninsula Valdes area. Our tour guide Federico and driver Lido were by far the best. They were both knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and went out of their way to make sure that the four of us were comfortable, at ease, and that we were seeing and doing the things that interested us. We have, and will continue to recommend you to all our friends and acquaintances. Good show!

Ellen Grayson & Eric Rosenberg (Tierra del Fuego & El Calafate Custom, Mar 2004)
Our tour was really excellent. The hotels were wonderful overall, and we had very good experiences with the guides in Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, and El Calafate. Our contact in Buenos Aires was particularly good. She helped us through any difficulties we might have had during the tour.

Mary Ann and Ron Gebhart (Awesome Argentina + Iguazu Falls, Nov 2004)
Nov 20-Dec 2, 2004

My son, Ron, and I left Saturday afternoon for a flight to Miami with a connecting flight to Buenos Aires on American Airlines, arriving Sunday morning at 11 am. We took our own cab to the hotel in the lovely La Recoleta district - one of the nicest areas in the city. A small but very elegant hotel where the staff was most helpful in getting us oriented. We walked a few blocks to get our money exchanged in to pesos -- 3 pesos to our one dollar -- that is VERY good. Just a few years ago their one peso was equal to our one dollar. This tour was arranged by Adventure Life. We went with them to the Galapagos Islands a few years ago -- a nice outfit to work with -- I highly recommend them.

We walked toward the Paseo Intendente where we sat outside under a gargantuan rubber tree for our lunch, LA BIELA restaurant. Then we walked through the city's largest artisan fair, held there every weekend. Finally arriving at the Cementerio de La Recoleta, final resting place of some of Argentina's most illustrious citizens. Started in 1822, the cemetery cover 13 1/2 acres with 6,400 elaborate vaulted tombs and majestic mausoleums, 70 of which have been declared historic monuments. We were able to find the final resting place of Eva Peron -- a modest site compared to the other Greek Temples, chapels, pyramids, and miniature mansions that others had chosen ... Read All

Susan Davis (Awesome Argentina, Nov 2004)
An absolutely rejuvenating, magical trip with new experiences, breathtaking scenery, friendly and helpful people and always a new adventure - I'm ready to do it over again as soon as possible. Much more than I expected - virtually impossible to express the soul-fulfilling experiences.

Barbara and Stephen Tomasovic (Awesome Argentina, Nov 2004)
The trip was absolutely marvelous...even more than I expected. Patagonia is an area of remarkable diversity and wild, incredible beauty. From the steppes with their huge cattle and sheep estancias, to the vast beech forests on the slopes of the Andes, everything I saw overwhelmed me. We saw Southern Right whales, Magellanic penguins, elephant seals, guanacos, rheas, maras, CONDORS (YES!), giant Patagonian woodpeckers...all up close and personal. We stayed in tiny, charming towns, and ate exquisite food from the sea and from the ranches. In fact our Thanksgiving meal was spent on Gable Island around a campfire eating grilled hake, herb baked potatoes, huge tomatoes, and a local chocolate dessert. All the while gazing at the Darwin Range of the Andes.

We put crampons on our boots and trekked for three hours across the Perito Moreno Glacier, going up and down slopes steeper than I ever thought I would be comfortable handling. And all of this was on ice! It was scary. About half way through the trek we came upon a crude wooden table set with crystal tumblers and a large bottle of scotch. The guides served it to us over glacier ice...WOW! Icy and warm all at the same time! This trip was another one of those "adventures of a lifetime." Perhaps what impressed me most about Patagonia was the pristine quality of the area. Never have I breathed such pure air. To top ... Read All

James Hubbell (Awesome Argentina, Nov 2004)
I wanted to thank you for your help with the trip to a fascinating country. I was impressed with the thought and planning to the days we were guided; also, with the quality and knowledge of the guide.

Maris Borg (Awesome Argentina + Iguazu Falls, Nov 2004)
When you travel abroad you tend to expect many mishaps, but on the contrary - this tour was wonderful. I'm not very good at scribbling comments, but all I can say is that this tour was "out of this world," and had many highlights. It was fantastic!!

Doug Fitchen (Awesome Argentina + Torres del Paine, Jan 0)
The tour was very good. We liked that we were not always together with the group, and had time to go out separately in the evening. We particularly enjoyed the mini-trek with crampons on the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Jim McMeans (End of the World, Jan 2006)
The tour was very nice! Lago Grey was super.

May Wah Ng (End of the World, Feb 2004)
The Mare Australis cruise was excellent for the quality of the service, the knowledge of the naturalists, the accommodations, and the food. The pristine beauty of Patagonia was incredible. Overall the tour was great and I would like to go again!

Margot & Eric McDonald (End of the World, Mar 2004)
This trip was excellent. We enjoyed the variety of the three parts - the cruise, estancia, and the national park. Each segment of the trip was filled with a steady choice of activities without feeling rushed or exhausted. Every transition was very smooth. This trip provided a luxurious experience, which we welcomed. I enjoyed the balance of nature and cultural history that we experienced throughout the trip. The organizational details also went smoothly. For each of our transfers the guide showed up promtly, identified themselves, and provided excellent service. The guides were superb and accommodating. This trip reminded me of my travels in Europe in the late 1970s. It was refreshing to find a place where the people are not overwhelmed by tourists. Having your agency plan the entire trip allowed us to enjoy ourselves completely. We would definately check in with you in the future when we plan another trip.

Robert and Irina Danetz (End of the World, Oct 2003)
Everyone on the trip was pleasant and accommodating and the food on the Mare Australis was excellent.

Terri and Mark Lisagor (End of the World , Jan 0)
This trip was just the level we wanted. Overall, this tour exceeded our expecations!

-- End of the World --

Paula Westmoreland (End of the World, Nov 2007)
I really appreciate everything you did to work with the local guides and local organizations. I also appreciated the fact that we weren't part of a large tour group. It felt like a customized trip for the two or us. I will highly recommend the experience to others. Patagonia is a very special place and I feel privileged to have experienced it the way I did using local guides and local accommodations.

Ron Smith and Jorge Meleneloz (End of the World, Dec 2006)
The Crew of the Via Australis were friendly and helpful-a truly unforgettable experience.

Shirley Raymond and Ken Phillips (End of the World, Feb 2006)
“Patagonia? Why in heaven’s name Patagonia?” Ken asked. Because I want to see wonders of a different sort – the other side of the sky, the end of the world, wild extremes, the flowering meadows, the snow-kissed breeze, jewels set deep in shining skies, the defiant mountains call to me! That is why I want to go to Patagonia! And so we went.

First stop was Buenos Aires, Argentina. Buenos Aires means fair winds and it is more that just another big city. It is romantic, rich in history, and truly the Paris of South America. Parts of it would make Paris blush! We went to a tango show – a must see when visiting Argentina. The tango was started with men dancing together, to the shame of high society. That was until Europe discovered it, and then Argentina claimed it as it’s own. I usually do not enjoy bid cities, but this one was special – or maybe it was our young, enthusiastic guide that made it such a pleasure. Even the Recoleta Cemetery was an unexpected pleasure to visit.

We departed in the early morning to fly south from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia – the southernmost city in the world. It is on the island of Tierra del Fuego at the very tip of South America. Ushuaia is overrun with shops, cafes, bars, a church, and nearly as many tourist agencies as tourists. We walked to the very end of town, where the tourists do not generally go, and had ... Read All

Barbara McSwain (End of the World, Mar 2006)
The tour was fantastic. I am almost 80 years old, and I did far more than I thought I could. I even climbed the glacier! This is the first time that I have traveled alone, and yet I never once felt alone.

Tom Litteral (End of the World, Jan 2006)
The tour gave us a very good "taste" of Patagonia. A huge and delightful surprise was the transfer arrangements made for Adventure Life clients to drive from Torres del Paine to El Calafate. The transfer that was arranged avoided using a public bus at the border crossing. This saved us from a major headache!

Katie Egerton (Machu Picchu by Train and Wildlife Odyssey, Oct 2007)
A wonderful once in a lifetime experience. It was everything we expected, and better than expected in most parts!

I will definitely recommend Adventure Life to people planning to travel in South America. The standard of accommodation, tour guides and the fact that we could rely absolutely on being managed in transition was fantastic.

Marianne Kutz and Antal Szijj (Guatemala Custom Tour, Jul 2007)
We were so pleased and thrilled by the amount of effort your staff went through to take care of EVERY detail and request on our custom tour, from the birthday wine to finding specialized birding guides. It was perfect! Very organized, yet flexible to our needs every step of the way. We couldn't have been happier with everything.

Hannan Family (Custom Costa Rica, Jul 2007)
We wanted to make a last-minute change and really appreciated Adventure Life accommodating it, especially when it involved two lodges and a change in transportation time. The trip was wonderful, very relaxing, but plenty to do when we wanted to. Marcos, who drove us to and from Puerto Jimenez, was great about stopping to show us wildlife - he pointed out monkey and crocodiles!

Catherine Pendlebury (Galapagos Cruise: Corals, Jun 2007)
The Casa Aliso is a beautiful hotel. This was the best tour ever and will be hard to top!

Christopher Nurko (Independent Testimonial - Inca Trail, Jul 2006)
Dear Adventure Life -

I would just like to compliment your company on one of your guides for the Inca Trail. I booked my trip with a competitor firm but while on my trek met one of your guides named Vidal. I was happy with my tour guide - but was impressed with Vidal and his knowledge, friendliness and concern for trekkers other than his "clients". As it turned out - I became friends with his trek clients through him which enhanced my experience and visit. However -the most impressive thing was his concern on the final day of the trek for a girl who had fallen and injured herself (a torn ligament). Vidal helped her to receive medical attention at Machu Picchu, he carried her backpack, and generally lent assistance - and he wasn't even her guide! To me - this is a professional - and one who well represents your firm; plus it is the true spirit of Peru - kind, helpful and not only in search of tourist dollars! I hope you may be able to commend him or reward him. Next time I will consider Adventure Life on the basis of his representation of your firm!

Ann Astrove (Adventure Pacifica, Jun 2006)
You were the first site on the Internet that I looked at. I was so impressed with the amount of information and how thorough it was that I hardly looked at any others. Even though this was my first time traveling with a travel group/company, I felt comfortable with my choice based on the support of your staff and the supply of details. I'm looking forward to another trip!

Gerald and Judith Porter (Guatemala Explorer, Jun 2006)
We have done extensive adventure travel prior to this trip, and we would rate this as the best organized trip we have taken. We'd be happy to highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of travel.

Sheila Babbie (Incas and Rainforest + Nazca extension, May 2006)
I typically travel solo, but after this trip I may never plan again! You made everything simple and painless.

Elinor Petusky (Inca Pathways, May 2006)
Everything went off like clockwork and everyone took great care of us. Our guide was great - knowledgeable, caring, competent, enthusiastic and good company.

Thank you for organizing such a wonderful and carefree adventure for me and my friends. We will talk about it for years to come!

Larry Brassem (Machu Picchu by Train, Mar 2006)
As a rule, we take beach type and cruise trips. This was our first "adventure"-type trip. We loved it! There is not a better way to integrate into the local culture.

Mary Hilton (Galapagos Category I Cruise (Angelique), Mar 2006)
Thank you so much for making this somewhat inexperienced world traveler feel so confident. The trip to the Galapagos changed my worldview and the trip went so smoothly. I had a wonderful time!

Dot Meola (Hamanasi Adventure + Ambergris Caye, Mar 2006)
This was our second tour with Adventure Life and it was so relaxing and fun. We were very confident going to Central America knowing that everything would run smoothly. We had a great mix of adventure and relaxation, and are trying to decide where to go next!

Dennis Riordan (Galapagos Category 1 Cruise - Angelique + Sacha Lodge, Mar 2006)
Amazing! The duration of my trip was one month - and this was my first international travel experience! With Adventure Life I always knew someone was there for me. What a great comfort! The trip was far beyond my expectations!!

Pam and Brian Layzell (Belize Explorer - Ambergris Caye, Feb 2006)
We not only enjoyed the activities and sites that we visited but also the way that the tour was conducted with respect to supporting the local economy. This allowed us to become more intimate with the people, their culture and their way of life. This could not have happened on a typical vacation, or if we would have planned the trip ourselves.

Tuhin Sen (Machu Picchu by Train, Dec 2005)
This was our second trip with Adventure Life. We couldn't believe it, but this trip even outdid our first one! There really is no equal when it comes to South American vacation packages. Please keep up the good work!

Jill Montgomery (Galapagos Luxury Cruise - Eclipse, Nov 2005)
This was one of the best trips we have ever taken! It is the first time we have traveled with a company making the arrangements for us - we usually travel independently. We loved what Adventure Life did for us and we would not have seen or done so much as independent travelers.

We hope to spend more time in the future traveling to South America, and we now would not attempt to do so without Adventure Life making the arrangements!

Brenda Simmons (Guatemala Explorer, Dec 2005)
I've never had such a well-executed tour anywhere, anytime! Traveling in a third world country is generally a crapshoot, at best. Adventure Life made it an amazing adventure!

Jonathan Siekmann (Machu Picchu by Train + Inti Raymi, Jun 2005)
The tour was everything we expected and more! Peru is such a charming country. I really appreciated the values and spirit of Adventure Life. I got a sense of them from the website, and the reality on the ground reflected my expectations.

Bonnie and Joseph Lamphere (Rainforest and Ruins - Belize, Jan 2005)
We did things, went places, and saw things we never would have otherwise. This was not the "same old vacation" - and we had fun! I don't think that we've ever dealt with a travel company that took so much care with its customers. Usually, once the money is paid for a vacation, you're pretty much on your own. But we never felt that way at all with Adventure Life. There was always a resource person available and we really appreciated that. Thanks, we had a great time!

Christoph and Nancy Schachinger (Beaches and Rainforest - Costa Rica, Apr 2005)
This is the best vacation we have ever had!!! The trip wasn't what we expected - it was better! We are not "tour" type of people, and so we were apprehensive about the trip at first. But we never felt that we were part of a tour group during our time in Costa Rica. Everything was perfect and we can't imagine going anywhere in Latin America without going with Adventure Life!

Jeralyn O'Brien (Awesome Argentina, Mar 2005)
Adventure Life put together a great trip, did all the planning and work, and I just enjoyed! It really was an awesome trip and I would definitely be interested in traveling with your company again!

Stewart and Maryann Shaw (Earth, Fire, and Water, Mar 2005)
The tour was marvelous! This was the first time we used a tour company to plan our vacations, and we felt really catered to. Having a guide who was so knowledgeable made the trip so relaxing. We didn't have to worry about where we needed to go to next or if we would have problems with the language barrier, so it really took the pressure off of us!

Annie Gage, Barbara Green, and Corey Greengage (Beaches and Rainforest, Feb 2005)
The trip was wonderful! We had so much fun. Selva Bananito was just amazing.

Price Family (Adventure Pacifica, Dec 2004)
This was the best trip we have ever taken! We had never done a tour before, but after this experience we would go on another. Everything was perfect and we felt pampered, informed, and well-cared for. Our guide took care of any arrangements that needed to be made along the way, so we were free to enjoy the trip. It was an "adventure" and a true vacation in every sense of the word. Thanks for making our trip so very special!

Suzanne Bland (Reefs & Cayes + Mayan Mysteries + Adventure Pacifica +Peru Custom, Feb 2004)
I had a fantastic trip. I was extremely impressed by all the tour guides Adventure Life had selected, the accommodations, meals, tours, and the whole organization of my trip. It was far better than I could have hoped for. Thank you for organizing it so well. I also recommended Adventure Life to many other travelers along the way as they were impressed with the activities I was doing and how I was able to fit so many tours together without one single problem all the way through.

Scott and Pamela Orton (Mare Australis + Iguazu Falls, Apr 2004)
Having private tours and small group expeditions is the only way to do this type of trip. While others were herded like sheep, we were given hands on experiences such as tasting medicinal bark and learning to use lichen as dye.

Joyce Able (Wild Tambopata, Jul 2004)
On the final day of our trip Sandy said, "I can't think of any way to have made this trip better." Neither could I. The Wild Tambopata 7 Day trip was absolutely fantastic!!!! When we signed on with Adventure Life, we did it with some apprehension. After all, I had found Adventure Life by doing an internet search. All we really knew about Adventure Life was what was written on the web site. Truth or fiction? We have the answer to that question now- truth!...From the time we were picked up at the airport in Puerto Maldonado by our guide, Gaby, and our driver we felt in good hands. Gaby was our guide during the time we were in the Amazon. Almost unbelievable.... If I were to plan another trip to any part of South America to which Adventure Life arranges trips, I wouldn't have to do another internet search. I'd go straight to Adventure Life!

Marc Simon (Beaches and Rainforest, Dec 2004)
I just want to tell you that we had a fantastic time and thank you for the great job Adventure Life did on putting our trip together. I don't know how you found the places and people that you connected us with, but they were awesome. Your people even pulled us through when our luggage did not arrive with our international flight by coordinating its retrieval. We will definately keep you in mind for a future trip. It was one of the best things we've done together as a family, and a trip we'll be talking about for many years!

Steve Brown (Mare Australis, Jan 2007)
This cruise was great from all points of view. This company puts on a professional cruise and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone. Only problem is that it spoiled my wife and me to an extent that we would never go on a big ship cruise again.

Hotel Las Hayas in Ushuia was great. Very comfortable with a friendly and accommodating staff. We did a lot of hiking from there.

Mary and Gilbert Scott Jr. (Mare Australis and Iguazu Falls, Dec 2006)
Adventure Life offered great suggestions, were patient, and great with last minute details and requests. They were always pleasant and supportive. The local tour guides were extremely friendly and helpful. Our guide for the Iguazu portion was the best-he made you feel like family. I can't remember a more friendly group of people. All were pleasant and helpful. Special thanks to "John" in Iguazu, our waiter Claudio on the ship, and lecturer and guides Francisco and Mauricio.

This was one of the best vacations we have ever had, and we have traveled extensively. Everything went smoothly and we had so much fun! The guides were so attentive and well informed. They went out of their way to be helpful. The hotels were lovely and well located. The Mare Australis had roomy, comfortable cabins and a fabulous crew! Everyone we met, even other tourists, were extremely friendly and so much fun that we plan to return next year. Buenos Aires is now my favorite city. Iguazu Falls was spectacular. Patagonia-few words can describe its beauty. The moaning and cracking of glaciers as they calved ice into the sea, the braying of penguins, the flight of the albatrosses, and so much more. Thanks for helping us arrange such a wonderful vacation.

Jennifer and Henry Julier (Mare Australis, El Calafate, Atacama Desert, Oct 2006)
Estancia Alice in Calafate was excellent as well as the guides at Terrentai. The crew of the Mare Australis was a crack team-one of the best I have seen.

Frederick and Gail Stephens (Iguazu Falls + Mare Australis + Torres del Paine, Apr 2006)
I don't usually like cruises, but to see Tierra del Fuego we decided to take the Mare Australis. It turned out to far exceed our expectations. The zodiac trips were very special. The crew was totally into safety first. The lectures were great. Cape Horn Island was a big highlight, despite 60 MPH winds! It was a fabulous trip!

Kenneth and Charlene Bunger (Mare Australis + Awesome Argentina, Feb 2005)
The tour was great! The ship crew and also our guides were wonderful. They were always helpful, fun and professional.

Peter & Bethany Chirco (Mare Australis - Ushuaia-Punta Arenas, Nov 2004)
The cruise on the Mare Australis was truely incredible. The accommodations onboard combined with the gourmet meals gave us the sense that we were staying at a 5 star hotel with an indescribably beautiful ocean front view (all the time). Our crew, guides and staff were really friendly, knowledgeable, and glowingly proud of the astounding natural features of Tierra del Fuego and Chilean Patagonia regions. The oceans and currents around Cape Horn are quite rough and the Mare Australis is not immune to rocking and heaving in heavy swells. We decided that it added to the adventure and really gave us an appreciation for what the sailors and exploreres who rounded the Cape generations before us had to endure - and in much less comfort!

Gibby & Soryl Rosenberg (Mare Australis + Tierra del Fuego, Feb 2004)
All I can say is that the trip could not have been better. The crews were great and everthing was organized perfectly.

Scott & Pamela Orton (Mare Australis + Iguazu Falls, Apr 2004)
The trip was excellent. Having private tours and small group expeditions is the only way to do this type of trip. While others were herded like sheep, we were given hands on experiences such as tasting medicinal bark and learning how to use lichen as dye. Being the only English speaking couple in Iguazu Falls was also really beneficial as we ended up with our own personal guide! The best part of the trip was probably the people. Everyone was really friendly and always accommodating. I was also impressed by the cleanliness and sense of safety. Most merchants went out of their way to assure you that you were paying the right amount. The areas we visited were as clean or cleaner and felt safer than any US city I've visited.

Adventure Life was very professional, available, and knowledgeable. The tour guides were very friendly and enthusiastic. This tour was 1st class.

Charles McMurray (Australis 5-Day, Nov 2006)
I would definitely take this cruise again, it was very well organized.

David Dehlendorf (Via Australis, Jan 2006)
The cruise on the Via Australis was wonderful - much better than we expected! The ship's crew was well-trained and very attentive.

Marilyn Sachat and Bill O'Connell (Patagonia by Sea + Atacama Desert, Nov 2004)
This trip was way beyond anything we expected. Both the trip on the Cahuella as well as the visit to the Atacama Desert were unique and very different experiences. We especially enjoyed the privacy of the Cahuella and being able to enjoy the spectacular and peaceful scenery and villages away from other tour boats and tourists. It was really a very special experience!

Cherie and Duane Kesti (Patagonia by Sea 9 Day, Jan 2007)
Our local tour guides were wonderful. We had some great hikes and learned a lot about the area and local islands. We loved meeting the local family for dinner! The boat crew was the best--the food was fabulous, well thought out and excuted! What a wonderful tour--we were very lucky to have such great weather, not to mention the comet we saw one clear night.

I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in exploring the northern fjords of Chile. Many wonderful memories were made on this trip and it will be talked about for years to come. We had exciting surprises everywhere we looked, some thanks to the crew, and many from the nature of Chile. One afternoon my husband was invited by the crew and other local Chileans to a soccer match on one of the small islands. It was truly one of the highlights of his trip.

This trip was everyhing we expected and more!

David and Hannah Burling (Patagonia by Sea, Jan 2004)
We particularly loved the Cahuella cruise, especially the warm and helpful crew, though the boat and sights were also wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone. I think my mother was their eldest and my daughter their youngest client, and both loved it. The guide, David, set a very high standard for all future guides to be measured by, given his warm, friendly, informative and thoughtful demeanor.

Diane and Terry Winslow (Patagonia by Sea, Jan 2004)
The trip on the Cahuella was fantastic! The crew was made up of the nicest people and they treated the group so well. Our family group was made up of a wide range of ages from 8-88, and everyone had a wonderful time. The food was delicious. The crew and guide were just really terrific and very helpful with our elderly mother-in-law and she had a wonderful time. When she got tired someone would go back with her and there was always someone available to lend a hand. The guide was very knowledgeable about the birds and animals. The boat very nice - clean, well kept and well run. Nothing phased the tour operator, always very calm and courteous. We enjoyed the trip so much that we are ready to plan another tour with Adventure Life!

Gary and Marcia Strumpf (Patagonia by Sea + Awesome Argentina, Dec 2004)
The Cahuella crew was great - especially the cook! The local guides were also ver good. The food was excellent throughout the trip, especially on the Cahuella cruise. The trip was excellent! A well-run, unforgettable adventure.

Richard Schwartz (Patagonia Panorama, Dec 2007)
How can a trip to Patagonia be anything other than fantastic?! Everyone must go to Patagonia at least once in their life, no matter how much adventure travel they have under their belt.

Bill Kan (Patagonia Panorama, Nov 2007)
David Albert, our guide, for the hikes on the Argentina side was great! I would highly recommend him. We lucked out. Mauricio and Carola in Torres del Paine were also very good.

Thanks for a great trip! The guides were great. They made the trip special. Fitz Roy and Torres del Paine helped too! :-)

Marilyn Moore (Patagonia Panorama , Jan 2007)
The Patagonia Panorama was a wonderful introduction to the two national parks, Los Glaciares in Argentina and Torres del Paine in Chile. The days were well planned and alternated longer hikes with less physically intense days. There was also a great balance of nights spent camping or in refugios with 2-3 night stretches in hostels or EcoCamps. The guides were excellent and we received exceptional information regarding local culture, wildlife, and geology. The guides were also great in their response to individual hiking paces.

Frank and Jodie Powers (Patagonia Panorama , Jan 2007)
Adventure Life was great to work with and were able to organize the exact trip we wanted. The leaders and tour guides throughout our tour were fantastic, especially Pedro Fina, who was absolutely top notch. This tour was fantastic and we are saving up for Machu Picchu next year!

Teddie Gould (Patagonia Panorama , Dec 2006)
I really enjoyed working with Jenny, she was wonderful to talk with and very responsive. All of the hotel staff throughout my tour was helpful. The food was great. I didn't lose any weight! This is a trip I will never forget.

Ann Thompson and Karen Christman (Patagonia Panorama, Nov 2006)
We had a great time! Our chef in the camp at Fitz Roy was spectacular. He made a layered cake and chicken brests with spinach and peppers. The roasted lamb at Eco-Camp was terrific. The groups were great and the guides were fun.

Enid Cocke (Patagonia Panorama, Dec 2005)
The trip was terrific! The tour - and the good weather - exceeded our expectations. Our guides were excellent, and particularly our guide in Argentina. He was highly competent and caring - a delightful human being! Our accommodations were likewise excellent. Eco-camp, especially, was a real treat at the end of our tour. We were pleased that this tour was physically rigorous. We were proud of our accomplishments and stunned by the fantastic scenery.

Bruce Allardyce and Donna Hichok (Patagonia Panorama, Mar 2005)
The trip was fantastico! All the guides, camp staff and hotel staff were very friendly and "top shelf" in every respect.

John Proulx (Patagonia Panorama, Feb 2004)
Overall this is an excellent trip. The scenery is fantastic and the wildlife is great. The hiking is well spaced so that there are no real hard, long days. The two main guides were excellent and took care of us with patience and good humor. Armando in Chile was especially good - knowledgeable, attentive to details, an extremely good organizer, and easy to get along with. He knows what he is doing.

Patty Eilers and Brad Roberts (Patagonia Panorama, Mar 2004)
The accommodations were great and the Argentinean guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. This was an adventurous tour!

Ursula & Howard Booth (Patagonia Panorama, Mar 2004)
First, let me say this was a great trip! The itinerary was great in all its daily objectives and their variety. A friend of ours who had hiked intensively in both parks said he thought the itinerary was the best he had seen of out of all the offereings by tour companies. The scenery was stunning! All the places we stayed were clean and even scenic. The personnel at the hotels were helpful and spoke English. We particularly felt at home at EcoCamp where we could enjoy the Patagonian horses galoping by at down. Our tour leaders were congenial, helpful, and enthusiastic.

Cynthia Malloy (Pure Patagonia, Jan 2008)
It was a fantastic trip - unbelievably beautiful place. Well done. It was just a wonderful experience - in addition to the trekking in one of the Earth's most beautiful places, met some great people, as Adventure Life trips seem to induce!

Jerry Glen (Pure Patagonia, Dec 2007)
The Pure Patagonia Tour was more than a great trip. It was a religious experience.

Thomas F. Grady (Pure Patagonia, Feb 2007)
Jonathan and Jenny were very responsive to me whenever I had questions. The accommodations throughout the tour were much better than I had anticipated-a pleasant surprise. Our guides were excellent-they were very knowledgeable and fun to hike with. This tour was excellent and I was lucky enough to be with a great group of people.

Kenyon and Karen Kugler (Pure Patagonia, Feb 2007)
This was a great tour. I really liked Hotel Orly in Santiago, the Guest House in Puerta Vares, as well as all of the trekking accommodations. The EcoCamp staff was great-the food and how it was presented (tablecloths, wine, etc) was very nice.

Carey Murphy (Pure Patagonia, Dec 2006)
The enthusiasm of the local guides was wonderful. Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and excited about their jobs. The local crew was very friendly and helpful. Overall this was an excellent tour!

Christy Bourne (Pure Patagonia, Feb 2006)
The tour was excellent. I have always wanted to go and I'm glad that I did. Eco-Camp, Refugio Pehoe, and Hosteria Tyndall were all top notch and in unbelievable locations. I could have stayed at any of them for a week! The scenery, group of people, and hiking were all amazing. This was the best group as a whole I have ever been with.

Desiree Kavan (Pure Patagonia, Dec 2005)
I booked the Pure Patagonia trip on a whim really... never heard of Patagonia before November of 2005. I had heard of Bariloche and some of the individual places, but not the region as "Patagonia". I had never really contemplated going down there on vacation, either. While I was searching through the internet for a hiking/trekking vacation in December, I found only a few destinations, including New Zealand and Patagonia. One was 24 hours of flying, the other about half... the latter won for that reason alone.

I tell you all this because as unaware as I was about Patagonia before, I am as intrigued as could be now. Patagonia is the most beautiful place on earth that I have encountered (and I've been throughout Europe, North America, the Caribbean and Central America). I can't wait to go back!

The landscape is amazing, too rich for words really - from the turquoise lakes to the small little orchids, the waterfalls everywhere, the view of the towers, everything. Beyond that, I found the culture and the people to be wonderful as well.

The entire experience was life-changing for me - truly. I re-discovered a part of myself that had been lost for a long time, and I believe it was the environment and the people down there that helped me do so.

Of course, the organization of the trip was critical to facilitating such a wonderful discovery. ... Read All

Margaret Freifeld (Pure Patagonia, Dec 2005)
We had the best guide and only good experiences with all of the other, mostly unseen, help. Our guide added to the enjoyment of the trip and made it a learning experience. He is extremely knowledgeable in the area of flora and fauna. He left no question unanswered.

Craig and Stephanie Smith (Pure Patagonia + Easter Island + Kayaking and Horse Trek, Jan 2005)
Check out Craig and Stephanie's log of their travels through Chile and Patagonia!

Aaron and Fenella Chisholm (Pure Patagonia, Oct 2005)
The scenery was breathtaking, the accommodations and food were superb. The small group made it fun and didn't make it feel touristy. We were able to enjoy nature in all its splendor.

Leila Fujii (Pure Patagonia, Oct 2005)
Hotel Orly was fabulous...the staff was so incredibly helpful with all my requests. Great location in Providencia and great breakfast. Eco Camp was my favorite place to stay on the road since the food was really good, the tents & feather beds were comfortable and the staff was very efficient.

Armando was a great source of knowledge. Very familiar with birds, history and the geology of the area. Very attentive to watching us and being organized about his briefings. It was incredibly valuable to have a guide who is skillful and experienced.

The tour was great. The amount of hiking was just perfect.

Jeanne McDermott (Pure Patagonia, Feb 2004)
The trip was spectacular! I loved Eco Camp and Hosteria Tyndall. The staff and guides were all friendly and knowledgeable. This was my second trip with Adventure Life and I plan to do more with you. Thanks!

Dawn Ravella (Pure Patagonia, Feb 2004)
This is by far the best trip I have ever taken, and I travel a lot! The combination of the people, weather, spectacular sights and landscapes, and the Southern Cross made a magical experience. The hiking was challenging, and the staff was unbelievably accommodating and knowledgeable. It could not have been better! Thank you for the adventure.

Andrea Hutt (Pure Patagonia, Feb 2004)
The tour was amazing and one of the best trips ever! The support from the Adventure Life office was excellent and the tour was on time and very organized. Armando was an excellent guide. He knew the area and the animals and answered all of our questions. The rest of the crew was also friendly and helpful. The accommodations, although they were all different, were all great and the food was excellent! I'm happy that I traveled alone but got the opportunity to meet a bunch of great people!

Winifred Jolly (Pure Patagonia, Feb 2004)
I have hiked in many countries and continents and loved them all. But there was something about Patagonia that was almost overwhelming. Besides the beauty of the mountains and lakes, I must say that the two guides, Armando and Pablo, were so knowledgeable about geology, plants, birds, and animals that every moment was exciting. In addition, they were sensitive, respectful, and extremely helpful. Overall, the tour was awe-inspiring.

Paulette & Arthur Posche (Pure Patagonia, Mar 2004)
This trip was a fun and adventurous and everything went smoothly. The guides were great - always smiling and helpful and wanting us to have an enjoyable trip. The food was good, and connections were on time, we never had to wait. If people are in good shape and like to hike they will see some amazing scenery on this tour!

Roger and Penelope Secker-Walker (Pure Patagonia, Nov 2004)
The list of what to take was most-useful. The overall tour was good. We were extraordinarily fortunate with the weather, which made for spectacular views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls. The scenery was more spectacular than we had expected. The hikes were more strenuous, but we did the shorter versions of each, and much appreciated Renzo as our guide.

Rachel and Nancy Schwartz (Pure Patagonia, Dec 2004)
Although we didn't like the Hosteria at Tyndall, we loved the view. We really liked that the itinerary took us on the "W" tour and how we walked through the park. We wouldn't change a thing on the itinerary. Also loved the penguins. It was great to end the tour at the EcoCamp and the hike to the Torres. Loved the boat and zodiac on the 1st day too!

Betsy Voyles (Pure Patagonia + Iguazu Falls, Jan 2004)
Very physically demanding but worth it - Patagonia. Iguazu - gorgeous, a must-see, but 2 1/2 days was plenty. Wish I'd been able to book more time in the Argentina Patagonia side. Next time! I would definitely use your services again for future trips.

Beth and David Johnson (Pure Patagonia, Nov 2003)
The tour was excellent. The arrangements were great and there was always a "fall back" scheme if anything did not go as planned. Eco Camp was excellent in terms of both the lodging and the food. The guides and other local crew were also excellent and served people very well. The options for extra hiking made the trip good for everyone in the group although there was a wide age range - it was very well planned!
