Day 2

Explore Santiago

Begin your adventure this morning with a full day exploring Santiago. Visit the historic downtown sites of Plaza de Armas and La Moneda Presidential Palace. Wander past the Mercado Central to witness Chile's largest fresh seafood market in action. Stroll past bustling stalls. Visit lesser known barrios in Santiago, including high society neighborhoods of Republica and Concha y Toro. Observe the varied architecture from the 19th and 20th centuries and wander the cobble-stoned Lastarria neighborhood. You will also walk through the Parque Forestal, pass by the Bellas Artes Museum and have the opportunity to visit La Chascona, the former home of Chile's beloved poet, Pablo Neruda. Finish the day with a visit the top of Cerro San Cristobal Hill for a spectacular panoramic vista.

Day 3

El Morado National Park

Early this morning meet your guide for a two hour drive to nearby El Morado National Park. Begin your hike at Baños Morales hot springs and trek to Laguna Morales, a small lake located at 7,875 ft above sea level. After a picnic lunch, continue along the trail until you arrive to the San Francisco Glacier, one of 29 Chilean glaciers. Take in the awesome sight and learn about its impacts on the landscape and water supply. After about 6 hours of moderate hiking, head back to Baños Morales for a rest and snacks before driving higher in the Andes for a relaxing soak in the Baños Colinas hot springs.

Day 4

Santa Cruz Biking

Set out this morning with your guide to start your biking adventure. Take a three hour drive to the eastern side of the Colchagua Valley, a narrow valley stretching from the foot of the Andes to the Pacific Coast. Start your 20 mile gentle downhill ride to the town of San Fernando. Arrive to the family-run Casa Silva winery for a lunch by their local contemporary chef.

This afternoon arrive to the enchanting town of Santa Cruz and check into your boutique hotel nestled between a vineyard and historic family winery. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon soaking up the beauty of the Colchagua valley, or explore the vineyards on foot or by bike.

Day 5

Colchagua Valley Biking

Ride out of Santz Cruz this morning along mostly flat roads towards the town of Peralillo. Stop en route at the Viña Estampa, one of the region's top wineries. Spread across three properties, their 400 hectares produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carménère, and Syrah. Enjoy a hands on presentation exploring the grape varieties and assemblages including a birds-eye view of the winemaking facility.

Continue on your journey and stop with a lunch at La Taberna in Peralillo. From here take a drive to your colonial retreat in the town of Marchigue.

Day 6

San Antonio Valley

Drive this morning along the beautiful Ruta de Fruta, heading towards the San Antonio Valley. Stop en route in the small town of Lo Abarca and take in the colorful array of mosaics throughout the village. Arrive to Casa Marín Winery, Chile's first and only female-owned vineyard. This winery is described as one of the most “daring and innovative” vineyards in the country, with its focus on creating premium wines for the unique terrain. Its Sauvignon Blancs have received multiple awards and it was elected Winery of the Year by the Wines of Chile association in 2010. Enjoy breathtaking views and a premium tasting and tour before continuing on to lunch in El Sauce, a local “picada” restaurant. Drive the remaining few miles to the coastal town of Isla Negra. Visit the beautiful former home of Noble Laureate, Pablo Neruda. It is now a museum with vistas to the white sand beaches that were likely the inspiration for much of his work. Continue to Tunquén for a sunset picnic set to the sound of the rolling waves.

Day 7

Valparaiso

Relax this morning before meeting your guide to tour the well known port town on the Pacific. Learn about the history of Valparaiso as you visit the downtown sector, walk through the Cerro Concepcion and Alegre neighborhoods and enjoy a fantastic culinary experience at Oda Pacífico. After lunch, visit another of Pablo Neruda's homes, La Sebastiana and head to the nearby Viña del Mar for free time to tour the lush “garden city” of Chile.Return this evening to Santiago for the night.
