Day 1: Depart Antigua | Copan Ruinas

Leave early from Antigua for a 6-hour drive across dry lowlands and the forested Sierra de las Minas before reaching the mountains of Honduras. Arrive in Copán Ruinas, located just over a kilometer from the Maya ruins. After checking into the hotel, explore cobblestone streets and archeology museums displaying painted pottery, jade carvings, ancient glyphs, and the tomb of a Maya priest. You may also hike to remote waterfalls, visit local hot springs, or discover surrounding coffee plantations and sunflower fields.

Day 2: Copan Site Visit
