We are very happy we chose the Inca Trail instead of the train to Machu Picchu. The feeling of accomplishment, the bonding with fellow trekkers, the 8 days of sharing with our guide Alex and the friendliness of our cook, porters and all the Peruvian people we met made this vacation a rare rewarding lasting memory.
