Traveling in Ecuador was a unique and fantastic experience. Simply stated, it is a land of beauty. We had the opportunities to climb Mt. Cotopaxi, raft the Rio Blanco and visit an orphanage. We found the people to be friendly and generous and the food to be very delicious. The Galapagos Islands are everything you might expect and more. However if the opportunity presents itself, explore the mainland. Ecuador is a county rich in history and fascinating sites. Follow the advice of fellow travelers (or use a guide) and explore the beauty of Ecuador, you’ll be happy you did
