(Taste of Argentina, Feb 2009)Two additional thoughts: The cooking class in Tilcara was wonderful. I would love to learn more from the restaurant owner who gave the class. As part of the wine-tasting at La Casa de la Bodega, the manager served us a bit of rabbit pate on toast. This was quite possibly the single best bite of food I have had in 5 weeks of traveling in Argentina.
Our guide was excellent. Very fun and easy to interact with. I absolutely love the fact that she is from Salta and truely a local.
The accommodations exceeded my expectations. All were excellent in every regard.
