(Machu Picchu Pilgrimage, Jun 2009)The trip was wonderful. Our local guide was knowledgable, patient and humorous. He was great at managing our time, and adjusting our schedule based on the group's (3 people) abilities and desires. The trail was more difficult than I expected - the second day's hike to Dead Woman's Pass at 14,000 feet, kicked my butt, but completing the trail and entering Mach Picchu through the Sun Gate was undescribably worth it. This was the first organized tour we have taken and it was a great experience.
