Take a trip to Hanoi, the centuries-old capital of Vietnam, where the architecture and culture of China and France highlight this ancient southeast Asian city. While Hanoi is usually just the starting point for our Vietnam and Laos tours, several tours offer opportunities to explore the city & experience its charms, like the morning Tai Chi or aerobics done around the lake or the UNESCO-restored French architecture. In the Old Quarter, you'll see the Temple of Literature, which was built in 1076 AD & served as the country's first university, operational for 700 years. Huu Tiep Lake, aka ‘B-52 lake’, is an interesting site where the remains of a crashed US bomber can be seen. Your tour will continue on to nearby destinations like Hanh Chuong Viet Palace, a cruise on Ha Long Bay, or hiking through the mountain town of Sapa. Let us know when you're ready to start planning!
Highlights of Hanoi This Vietnamese city is over a thousand years old, and the ancient traditions can still be seen and felt in the modern metropolis it has become. A tour of this town may include:
A tour of the UNESCO-restored French architecture.
A walking tour of the Old Quarter, with a visit to the Temple of Literature (Vietnam's first university, built in 1076).
A stop in local breweries.
A hike along the railway tracks.
An exploration of the neighboring historic Ky Son Village
Culinary exploration of Hanoi.
The historical Huu Tiep Lake, where the wreckage of a US B-5 bomber can be seen.
Morning aerobics and Tai Chi in the park, to practice mindfulness with the locals.
Friendly and professional interactions. Answered my questions and followed up on initial contact.

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
