Arrive in Ezeiza International Airpor, Buenos Aires then transfer to the Alvear Art Hotel. Spend overnight with dinner included.

Day 2: Charter flight to Ushuaia | Embark

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Dinner
Enjoy breakfast at Alvear Art Hotel then transfer to the airport in Buenos Aires. Take your Charter Flight to Ushuaia via Airbus 320 with "European Business Class" seating. Take lunch in Ushuaia before embarkation aboard the Seaventure in the afternoon. Onboard, you’ll be greeted by your Expedition Team and the Ship’s Officers. A concise safety and orientation briefing will be followed by the Captain’s welcome dinner.

After dinner, relax and take in the scenery on your early evening sail through the Beagle Channel, past Magellanic Penguin, Rock Cormorant, and Sea Lion colonies.

Day 3-4: Drake Passage

  • Ship
  • 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners
As you make your way ever closer to the white continent, numerous Polar Experts prepare you with presentations on everything Antarctic, from wildlife to history. Eventually, cross the Antarctic Convergence where you can notice a distinct drop in temperature as the ship enters the waters of the Antarctic Ocean.

Those interested in Citizen Science can take part in Sea Bird sighting surveys, or help collect salinity samples and weather data along the way. You are likely to witness some spectacular sights, from icebergs to an array of seabirds and whale species. If you are lucky, you may see some of them fully breach from the sea.

Day 5: South Shetland Islands

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The volcanic South Shetland Islands offer amazing abundance and beauty, so you’ll hop into your inflatable Zodiac boats and spend as much time as possible exploring. Be prepared to marvel up close at nature’s glory!

Day 6-8: Antarctic Peninsula

  • Ship
  • 3 Breakfasts, 3 Lunches, 3 Dinners
In the waterways of the Antarctic Peninsula, hope to make as much time as possible to explore by inflatable Zodiac boats and marvel up close at nature’s glory. Your Expedition Leader and Captain create a flexible itinerary based on weather, ice, and opportunity.  Aim for the most scenic bays and channels of the Peninsula with stops at penguin rookeries, seal wallows, bird colonies and whale feeding areas, as well as sites of historic and scientific interest.

The trip may include picturesque Neko Harbor, sheltered Paradise Harbor, the Humpback Whale favored Wilhelmina Bay, the striking Lemaire Channel, the wildlife-filled Penola Channel, or the majestic Neumayer Channel. You may stop at an active scientific base such as Poland’s Arctowksi or Ukraine’s Vernadskiy as well as a historic base such as U.K.’s Port Lockroy or Wordie House.

Adelie, chinstrap and gentoo penguins abound, and Weddell, crabeater and elephant seals are often found hauled out to rest along with predatory leopard seals and the assertive Antarctic fur seal. Minke and humpback whales are frequent visitors in the late season and orca sightings are also common.

Day 9-10: Drake Passage

  • Ship
  • 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners
As you leave this magical place and make your way north, heading again across the Antarctic Convergence and the Drake Passage, continue your presentation series and wildlife spotting. Sailing back to Ushuaia through the Beagle Channel, celebrate the conclusion of your expedition with a special slideshow.

Day 11: Ushuaia | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
With huge smiles on weary, content faces, disembark in the morning. You will be transferred to the Ushuaia airport for your private group charter flight via Airbus A320 back to Ezeiza Int’l Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires for international departure.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
