Departing from Longyearbyen, quickly move through the sea ice and continue directly to the pole. The main objective will be to reach the pole and explore this dense, compact ice field. However, upon return, you will have time to observe the wildlife you'll meet at under 85°N and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Franz Josef Land archipelago. This, the northernmost archipelago in Eurasia is made up of 191 islands and teems with incredible wildlife (polar bears, walruses, guillemots as well as impressive High Arctic landscapes.

Embark in Longyearbyen and quickly move through the sea ice directly to the pole. The main objective will be to reach the pole and explore this dense, compact ice field. - Pre-booking Available. Any pre-booking request for Le Commandant Charcot requires a deposit of $300 (including taxes) per passenger or per group booking. When the trip is confirmed, this deposit will be deducted from the total price. Tickets will be released for sale in April, 2019.

Cruise fares are per person and include the following:
  • All meals while on board the ship 
  • Captain’s welcome cocktail and gala dinner
  • “Open Bar” (pouring wines, house champagne, alcohol except premium brands...list available upon request)

  • 24h Room service (special selection)
  • English speaking lecturer 
  • Water sports activities (except scuba diving) using the ship’s equipment, when permitted by local authorities and confirmed by ship Master according to safety and sea conditions onsite

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own.
