King's Pool, a stylish camp overlooking the oxbow-shaped King's Pool Lagoon, is named for Scandinavian royalty and offers its location as a historic safari base in the middle of Africa's highest density of elephants. Luxurious, spacious, and beautiful, King's Pool grants its guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
King's Pool offers nine canvas and thatch guest tents, which are well equipped with all the comforts of home. Each tent offers a large, en-suite bedroom and lounge, private plunge pool, sala, and outdoor shower.
The grounds offer a common pool, lounge, and dining area which is set on an expansive deck and offers full views of the surrounding area. An open-air kgotla (boma) is also available for fine evening dining under the stars. The area around King's Pool is home to large elephant herds which traverse the area. Wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, steenbok, and warthogs also call the area home.
Guests are welcome in two hides shelters, which offer close views of the elephants. Day and night game drives, guided walks, barge cruises along the Linyanti River, and catch-and-release fishing are also available on request.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
