The SeaDream anchorage off the island of Terre-de-Haut is one of the most picturesque in the entire Caribbean. The yacht anchors in the bay off Bourg des Saintes, the main village on the island. Just beyond the sister island of Ilet a Cabrit to the north, you can see the main island of Guadeloupe and volcanic La Soufriere mountain with a height of about 1,466 meters/4,810 feet. A short ride takes you right into the center of this charming village with its shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Time at the beach is virtually mandatory on this island paradise where it seems as if the ocean is never more than a few yards away. Please remember to bring a towel and a bathing suit as you definitely want to go for a swim at beautiful Pompierre's Beach. After your beach adventure, have a nice walk back to the pier.

Day 4: Charlestown, Nevis

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Nevis is one of the favorite islands of the archipelago - explore Nevis beyond the small town to make the most of your visit! Less commercial and laidback than its large neighbor St. Kitts, Nevis, at first glimpse, offers a stunning approach with dramatic views of the potentially active volcanic Nevis Peak (3,232 feet/985 meters).

Optional Activities:

Charlestown - Discover Scuba: Always wanted to try scuba but never had the chance until now? Discover the "other" side of your Caribbean Paradise, the wonders of the underwater world. This is a great opportunity for those keen to try diving for the first time at a carefully selected beginner's site that provides good conditions for the novice diver. Although Nevis is famous for its deep dive sites, it's not uncommon to have a special experience at shallow sites such as "Hot Springs", "Bugs' Hole" or "The Church Reef". You may be lucky and spot a turtle, an eel, a stingray, an octopus, a spiny lobster, or even a baby shark among the reefs. From the pier, you are first taken to the dive base. You must then attend the lecture session explaining the equipment, safety and the physiology of diving.
Duration: 3.5 hours

Charlestown - Golf at The Four Seasons: Enjoy 18 holes of golf at the world-renowned Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, playing the lush greens and challenging course designed by Robert Trent Jones II. Tee off in a lush, tropical setting and enjoy the Four Seasons championship golf experience. Enjoy dramatic views of the Resort, the Caribbean, and the neighboring island of St. Kitts. This championship golf course is considered by some to be the best course in the Caribbean.
Duration: 4 hours

Charlestown - Source Trail & Rainforest Hike: This adventure is a great and active way to see more of the island! A moderately challenging hike through a lush forest introduces you to the flora and fauna of Nevis, offering a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs including bamboo, tropical fruit trees, and green velvet monkeys. Hike through the lush canopied rainforest to an ideal spot for panoramic views some 1800 feet (549 meters) above sea level. On a clear day you can observe the volcanic activity on Montserrat as well as spectacular views of the neighboring islands of Antigua, Redonda, St. Kitts, and Booby Island. Admire colorful traditional homes and shops and see how villagers live as you stroll through picturesque villages.
Duration: 3 hours

Charlestown - Nevis on Horseback: A short and informative drive through the sleepy villages of Nevis takes you to the stables where your adventure begins. Enjoy a thrilling but comfortable ride through the rolling countryside, passing many natural and historic sites such as Ft. Ashby and Nelson's Spring before moving on to a beautiful secluded Caribbean beach with many wonderful photo opportunities. Pass Calhoun Estate and in the distance St. Thomas Anglican Church before you gently climb to Paradise Estate with the ruins of a Sugar Mill. Then descend to the secluded beach and afterwards be taken through a lovely coconut grove.

The Marine Park is filled with colorful marine life such as sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, angelfish and much more. The journey to and from the dive area is equally enjoyable as the motorized cat is covered for those not wishing too much sun. After a briefing on dive conditions, you are guided by a PADI dive master or instructor. All equipment and transportation are provided for you. Based on time and conditions, a two-tank dive may be available on request.
Duration: 2 hours

Gustavia - ATV Island Adventure: See St. Barts from a different point of view - atop your own 4-wheel, automatic, All Terrain Vehicle. A short walk or boat ride from the tender landing (on the opposite side of the harbor) takes you to the vehicles, where you don your helmet (must be worn) and take off to explore the island. Leaving the harbor of Gustavia, your guide in the lead takes the road above the harbor and through St. Bart's villages. The ride makes its way to St. Jean near the airport passing the famous “Col de la Tourmente” where you may come across a plane landing! A great photo stop! Just after the airport, the ATVs go around the pond of St. Jean and climb up the hill that is overlooking Salines. Continuing via the valley of “Petite Salines”, the ride arrives in “Grand Fond”, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy dramatic scenery, dominated on the left by the “Morne Vitet”, the highest mountain on the island (286m) with a deep green valley and the blue and white of the raging ocean. The group continues along the water towards Toiny and later towards Lorient and its famous cemeteries, Saint-Jean and its sea resort style with shops and restaurants, and makes it up to the top of “Lurin” before going down to Gustavia. The ride goes up back on the road and slowly drives down towards Gustavia harbor. This complete island adventure takes you all around the island, and still allows time for shopping and exploring before or after. This is a great way to explore one of the most popular islands in the Caribbean.
Duration: TBA

Gustavia - St. Barts Semi-Submersible - "Under The Sea": No matter what your plans are for St. Barts, do not miss a trip below water level! The trip into the Marine Park is short but exciting and also combines well with all the other activities on the island! After boarding, step down into the tunnel-like hull for a seat in front of the underwater windows. If you wish, you can stay outside on the upper deck. As you reach the edge of the harbor you should be able to see some of the many green turtles that have chosen to live in the island's clean little harbor. Shortly thereafter, the vessel passes over the wreck of the 50-foot island freighter "Marignan" that sunk during hurricane "Luis" in 1995. Continue across the Saint Barth Marine Park and marvel at the lively underwater parade in front of you. Here, the sea bottom is full of colorful coral reefs that are gently invaded by troops of "sergeant majors" fish. Following this spectacle, it is time to head back to the pier. You may decide to stay outside on the upper deck from where you can enjoy views of the many beautiful yachts and breathtaking shores of Saint Barts. Join in on this fun and colorful adventure for all ages.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 6: Marigot, St Martin | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Arrive at Marigot and disembark after breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your continued independent journeys.

Optional Activities:

Marigot - America's Cup 12-meter Regatta: Today is your chance to join the crew aboard a multi-million dollar America's Cup contender during the St. Martin 12-Meter Regatta. Compete in an actual race around an "America's Cup" course. Grind a winch, trim a sail and sail "your" America's Cup boat to victory. The able and experienced Regatta staff give instructions on how to perform a task and what commands to expect. Previous sailing experience is unnecessary. The Regatta is out of the Philipsburg Harbor, and round-trip transportation is included for all "crew members." Join the victory celebration with a rum punch on the dock before returning to the SeaDream quay. If you love to sail or have never tried, do not miss this adventure!
Duration: 4.5 hours

Marigot - Deep Sea Fishing: Let the skilled skipper help you find the right fishing spot. Depending on the time of year, the waters around St. Martin abound in blue marlin, tuna, swordfish, mahi-mahi, white marlin, sailfish, wahoo, barracuda and more. The fishing boat charter waits for you right at the pier where you are tendered ashore in Marigot. Depending on the sea conditions and time permitting, the skipper brings you as far as off Anguilla, around the St. Martin or St. Barth coasts. Type of boat: Hatteras 33’ (1988).
Duration: 4 hours

Marigot - The Zip-Line Lovers - Extreme: Do you love zipping through treetops? Have you "done" zip-lines before? Did you always feel that the zip-lines were too short or too few? Did the rides always leave you wanting more? Then this is your kind of trip! This one is amazing! After being outfitted at the station at the bottom of the lush valley, an open-air truck takes you on a short drive up, almost to the top of the mountain. Soon you find yourself high above the regular fly-zone down below and enjoying spectacular views of Marigot and the verdant valley. Welcome to the "jungle." A short "practice" zip starts you off. From then on you begin to make your way down into the valley along longer zip-lines, with some of them 50 to 60 feet (15-18 meters) above the ground. There are a couple of tightrope walks to break up the zipping but for the most part this is all about the exhilarating fun of zipping from tree to tree.
Duration: 3.5 hours

Marigot - Orient Bay Beach Transfer: Leave the SeaDream pier at Marigot and enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 25 minutes before arriving at one of the island's most beautiful and well-known beaches, Orient Bay Beach. The transfer concludes at the conveniently located central section of Orient Bay Beach. Orient Bay is one of the nicest and longest beaches on the island, approximately 2 ½ km of golden sand bordering the Atlantic Sea. Located on the northeastern part of the island, it is certainly the most animated with all its watersports facilities. Spend memorable time at the beach.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
