Marigot is the main town and capital on the French side of Saint Martin. The city of Marigot is perhaps the most French in spirit of all the cities in the Caribbean. Colonial houses stand beside cafés and bistros, pastry shops and luxury boutiques, and in many ways, it looks just like any of the French market towns you might expect to find in Europe. At the southern end of town by the harbor is Marina Port la Royale. This area includes elegant stores with the latest in European designer fashion and fine jewelry, all duty and tax-free. The entire city is only four streets wide, so it is very easy to get around. Marigot was named the capital during the reign of King Louis XVI, who built Fort St. Louis on a hill near Marigot Bay. Today, that building is the most important in the city. SeaDream anchors off Marigot and offers several yachting land adventures as well as the possibility to play with the toys at the marina.
Prior to the recent volcanic eruptions that commenced in 1995, Montserrat was considered as one of the “insiders” favorite Caribbean islands. It was also home to producer George Martin’s Air Studios Montserrat recording studio where some of the world’s most famous recording artists, including Eric Clapton, the Little River Band, and Paul McCartney among many others, used to record their albums. Recent history has brought some unfortunate blows to the island ranging from hurricanes (Hugo in 1989) to multiple volcanic eruptions. Yet, in the face of such unfortunate setbacks, Montserrat remains an island worth visiting and its people, as friendly and warm as ever, are trying hard to bring back the economic viability of the island. Just imagine an island where almost two-thirds of its surface space is no longer available to agriculture or habitation; an island whose lovely capital city of Plymouth was destroyed by the volcanic eruptions and mudslides. A population that went from a high of 13,000 inhabitants to as low as 3,000 shortly after the first eruptions. Fortunately, more and more of the former residents are returning to the island and are trying to make a living off tourism once again. SeaDream would like to assist them in this effort by making frequent visits to the island. Thus, you are encouraged to take the time and join us on an interesting land adventure exploring the unique landscape of Montserrat.
Day 3: Sandy Ground, Anguilla | Gustavia, St. Barths
This British Overseas Territory is becoming more popular due to the incredible resort options as well as world recognized beaches and amazing golf. SeaDream offers an opportunity to tee off, swim with dolphins or for the energetic, bike around the island with the Captain or Club Director. Naturally, you are offered to join water sports while the ship is anchored off Sandy Ground.
Perhaps the most treasured destination in the Caribbean, this small island belonging to the French West Indies has so much to offer to SeaDream guests. Incredible shopping lies only steps away from the pier. Enjoy incredible beaches, resorts, restaurants, and activities both day and night. SeaDream has created various land adventures for you to discover the island from sea or land. Ask one of the officers to take you on a hike or bike ride around the island. Another great activity here is to simply relax and watch all of the incredible yachts arriving and departing just off your SeaDream yacht.
Day 5: Gustavia, St. Barths | White Bay, Jost van Dyke
The BVI’s barefoot island and home of the "Painkiller" drink, Jost van Dyke's population depends on the month – typically 250-300. This is another SeaDream destination where you may be served champagne and caviar in the surf followed by a beach barbecue lunch. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully, the boutique is open), or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar. Snorkeling equipment is provided as well as some of the water toys!

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!

Adventure Life did an excellent job of planning, organizing and executing a great trip to Argentina. It was nice to have the trip with just the two of us which allowed for a more personable tour with excellent tour guides in all four locations visited. We learned lots of details of the beautiful sites in BA, Mendoza,Baliloche and Iguazu Falls. We want to do another trip with Adventure Life some day.

Kassandra rocks! She had our trip planned and helped us arrange our air travel within the day we contacted her. She has helped us with our trips to Chile Argentina and Costa Rica, and she always finds us wonderful activities and accommodations. We’re looking forward to seeing what she’s planning for us this time when we go to Easter island
