The Refugio Los Cuernos is a simple yet comfortable hikers' shelter in Chile's Torres del Paine National Park. It stands at the feet of its namesake, an astounding granite and sedimentary rock formation called Los Cuernos del Paine, “The Horns of Blue,” named for its resemblance to a pair of horns.
The lodge is in a fairly remote area, and offers plenty of peace and tranquility on your Patagonia tour. It accommodates 32 people distributed among four rooms, each with four bunk beds for a total of eight beds per room. The lodge has a communal bathroom with hot water.
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
