Silversea's Silver Wind received a significant upgrade in December 2018 and now looks better than ever. During a second repair in November 2021, she was upgraded to an ice-class hull, making her one of the most versatile cruise ships. In addition to her timeless elegance and sumptuous relaxation, she's now capable of traveling from the far reaches of the planet's poles to the Mediterranean's most recognizable ports with equal fluidity and simplicity. If you want to see penguins up close in Antarctica or relax on the Caribbean's white-sand beaches, you can count on a Silversea cruise to take you there in luxury and style.

Onboard Amenities

Following its refurbishment in November 2021, a state-of-the-art photo studio (formerly the casino), a mudroom, and a pool water heating system are just a few of the additional features that Silver Wind offers guests on their excursion. The Observation Lounge, Panorama Lounge, Reception area, and La Dame and La Terrazza all had their walls and ceilings redone. In addition, improvements were made to the Fitness Center and the Hair and Beauty Salon.

Silver Wind's Panorama Lounge provides passengers with an unobstructed view of the ship's course and port of call for the day. Afternoon tea, a pianist, and the setting sun are all things to look forward to on a cruise. The drinks are free, and the music is upbeat and welcoming. Take in the variety of musical genres available on the dance floor, from classics to the most current club mixes.

Observation Lounge. The lounge's name is well-suited to the atmosphere it provides. An oasis of peace and tranquility with stunning views of the sea, the ship's uppermost deck is the perfect place to unwind with a good book and some quiet thought. Take a book from the in-house library, read the papers or enjoy a peaceful day at sea.

The Show Lounge. While on your luxurious vacation, take in some local culture. The stage is visible from every seat in this multi-tiered auditorium. Applaud a wide range of entertainment, including full-scale theatrical shows, classical soloists, cultural entertainment, and feature films. Additionally, the Show Lounge on board this luxury cruise liner offers lectures, port talks, and other special events.

Photo Studio allows you to print your photos directly from your camera to your walls. A lively, creatively inspirational venue where you can master the skill of digital photography and an editing suite where you may print photos (including postcards, panorama, and A2 prints). Modern equipment for MAC and PC users, high-tech printers, and a dedicated picture manager help you distinguish yourself as a serious photographer. With specific training on utilizing your camera phone to its most significant advantage, even amateur photographers may become pros. A printing cost is charged.

Onboard the Silver Wind, the Connoisseur's Corner sells excellent cognacs and cigars to savor on your cruise.

Other amenities include the bar, reception, pool deck, boutique, library, fitness center, and the Zagara beauty spa and salon.

Dining

Silver Wind has four restaurants to choose from, including La Dame, a gourmet restaurant.

This luxury cruise ship's Main Restaurant is decorated with silver, crystal, and candlelight and serves contemporary world cuisine with refined elegance and exquisite service. Menus include Chilean Sea Bass Roasted and Indian Chicken Korma en route to Mumbai. There are no allocated hours or tables aboard this luxury ship's Restaurant with open seating. You can eat whenever, wherever, with whomever you choose.

The Grill's lava stone cooking is one of the healthiest cuisines ever created. The Grill encourages customers to cook at their table using volcanic rock heated to 400°C. Place your meat, fish, or veggies on the grill stone or within the soup bowl and cook to your liking. Every bite is perfectly cooked. As a result, The Grill becomes a rotisserie, gourmet salad, and burger bar during the day.

La Terrazza serves a wonderful assortment of Italian cuisine à la carte. Authentic recipes and the finest ingredients combine to create a flavorful reflection of Silversea's Italian heritage. La Terrazza uses Naples buffalo mozzarella, Umbria organic balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and Parma air-dried ham. Parmigiano Reggiano, aged 24 months, is produced in Emilia-Romagna, while the pasta is created fresh every day on the Silver Wind. La Terrazza serves an informal buffet breakfast and lunch indoors and on the luxury cruise ship's outside terrace. La Terrazza converts into an à la carte typical Italian restaurant at night where breakfast and lunch are open-sitting while dinner reservations are advised.

La Dame is available on Silversea cruise ships. A tailored menu of locally inspired cuisine is served in an intimate and elegant setting. A six-course culinary journey across the world's most renowned wine regions. Reservation cost of $60 per guest. Make your bookings at My Silversea. Dinner requires reservations.

About Silversea Cruises

Silver Wind joins Silversea's fleet of 11 cruise ships, Silver Cloud, Silver Discoverer, Silver Explorer, Silver Moon, and Silver Muse, among others.

Monaco-based Silversea Cruises is a luxury cruise line directly owned by the Royal Caribbean Group since July 2020. Using its first ship in 1994, Silver Cloud, the Vlasov Group of Monaco, and the Lefebvre family of Rome founded this all-inclusive cruise line.

Silversea ships range in size from 51 to 364 suites so that each guest can find the perfect mix between choice and intimacy. Unlike larger vessels, which must anchor out at sea, smaller, ultra-luxury vessels may navigate city waterways and dock straight at a city's pier. There are four Silversea expedition ships available to take you to the furthest regions of the earth if you so desire.

Is Silversea worth the money?

Is the price of the Silversea experience worth it? Yes, if you're looking for a leisurely sailing experience with plenty of pampering and relaxation on a huge stateroom suite. An all-inclusive luxury with your private butler to cater to all your needs perfectly suits the most discerning guests. An advantage of arranging a Silversea tour is that in the event that you arrive late at the pier, the ship will be waiting for you. After each excursion, the crew welcomes you back on board with chilled drinks and fresh towels. Silversea also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the city center in many ports, so you may explore on your own.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
