Board the MS La Boheme during the afternoon in Passau. Settle in to your cabin and attend the crew introduction over a welcome cocktail. Depart for the Engelhartszell Region at the end of the afternoon and enjoy a delightful dinner on board.
Visit the Melk Abbey, then return to the ship at 10:00 am and cruise on to Dürnstein. Enjoy some free time exploring this picturesque village and its Baroque-style church—the most famous in the Wachau region thanks to the legend of King Richard the Lionheart. Return on board around 3:30 p.m. before cruising on to Vienna. After your arrival, choose between two different excursions:
CLASSIC: Tour the illuminated sites of Vienna.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: Come to the lounge and learn to waltz with traditionally costumed dancers.

CLASSIC: Visit Schoenbrunn Palace.

Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this marvelous city at your own pace or take part in another optional excursion (not included): horse-drawn carriage ride though Vienna.
Return to the ship and cruise to Budapest, passing Bratislava on the way. Tonight is a festival gala evening.
Enjoy some time on your own exploring Esztergom, the former capital of Hungary. Then spend the afternoon cruising to Budapest. The Hungarian capital lies along the banks of the Danube and is one of the most attractive cities in Europe. Enjoy some free time sightseeing the city before returning to the ship. After dinner, join an excursion of Budapest at night.

DISCOVERY as a supplement: Budapest by bike.
In the afternoon, take part in an excursion to discover the Gellert Baths and Spa (not included). After dinner, enjoy another free evening on your own or join an evening of traditional dancing in the city.
Spend the morning at leisure in Budapest or opt for the excursion for both packages: a tour to Gödöllö Royal Palace. Be back on board and cruising at 1:00 pm towards Bratislava. Enjoy some entertaining on board.
Enjoy a free morning for individual sightseeing around Vienna. The excursion for both packages is a guided visit of Vienna and the Capuchin Crypt. Return to the ship. Choose a free afternoon, or optional excursion to Hofburg to visit the former palace of the Habsburgs and admire the crown jewels and splendid imperial apartments. After dinner, excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: concert of Viennese music (optional and subject to availability).
DISCOVERY as a supplement: An evening in Grinzing, one of the most popular destinations offering a panoramic view over the entire city of Vienna.
Spend the morning cruising along the most beautiful stretch of the Wachau region to arrive in Melk around 9:00 am. Enjoy some free time. Return to the ship in the afternoon for an excursion to Arstetten Castle, the last residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. Return to the ship before cruising off around 4:00 pm towards Passau. Join an exclusive gala evening on board.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
