Day 1 Embark on San Cristobal
Arrive at the San Cristobal airport and transfer to your ship.
San Cristobal is the easternmost island in the Galapagos archipelago and, geologically, one of the oldest. Spot nesting colonies of frigatebirds and cruise around Kicker Rock, a cone formation which rises nearly 500 ft out of the sea.
Day 2 San Cristobal
- Ship
- 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Arrive at Cerro Brujo, and land on its breathtaking white-coral beach. Considered to be one of the most pristine beaches in the Galapagos, Cerro Brujo is ideal for birders and individuals seeking short hikes. Snorkel or swim with the sea lions or take a zodiac ride.
Day 3 Espanola
- Ship
- 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Travel to Punta Suarez, which offers the highest range of endemic species in the Galapagos archipelago. Land on the beach and greet the sea lions on shore. Colonies of blue-footed boobies are often found showing off for future mates. There is also a unique species of marine iguana, identified with traces of red and green colorings.
Day 4 Floreana
- Ship
- 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Step ashore at Punta Cormorant, one of the only populated islands in the Galapagos archipelago. This island is intriguing and presents a rich human history which is closely linked to the animals. Hike towards a lagoon that is home to several species of birds, including the greater flamingo. Hope to see sea turtles laying their eggs. Snorkel at Devil’s Crown or Champion, shallow sunken craters known for their fish and aquarium-like coral inhabitants.
Day 5 Santa Cruz Island

Travel by bus to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Watch as the scenery changes, eventually covering each of the seven vegetation zones represented in the Galapagos.
Visit Las Primicias, a private farm where you can encounter giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Stop at the tunnels, the largest lava tubes found in Galapagos, before visiting Los Gemelos and the Charles Darwin Research Station. Walk around three tortoise corals and the breeding center.
Day 6 Santa Cruz Island | Bartolome | Chinese Hat
- Ship
- 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Travel to Bartolome, a uniquely barren island which is largely inhospitable to most plants and wildlife. Hike for 30 minutes towards the summit of a dormant volcano. Admire lava bombs, spatter, and cinder cones before reaching the top to gaze across the island. Snorkel in the clear water with schools of tropical fish and Galapagos penguins or take a ride on the zodiac.
In the afternoon, sail to the southern tip of Santiago, Sombrero Chino (Chinese Hat). Come ashore to walk through sea lion colonies or take a trail through primeval volcanic landscape.
Day 7 South Plaza Island | North Seymour
- Ship
- 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Visit South Plaza, a small geological uplift with tall cliffs that offer spectacular views.
