Day 1 Reykjavik | Embark

Embark the Panorama in the afternoon between 3-4 pm. Overnight in port.

Day 2 Reykjavik, Iceland

Today enjoy an all-day optional excursion, starting at the Thingvellir National Park, a place of tremendous interest as a primary site of both Iceland’s geological and historical heritage. The tour continues to Gulfoss, Iceland's most beautiful waterfall and then to the Geysir geothermal area with its multitude of hot springs, where the most active one, Strokkur, spouts every few minutes. Stop at the Hveragerdi village, where geothermal water has been used to build up an extensive greenhouse industry and then at the Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant showcasing Iceland's ability to supply green power. Your tour ends as you pass through Reykjavik’s city center before arriving at the pier. Overnight in port.

Day 3 Akranes

This morning sail to Akranes and disembark by tenders for your 2 Optional excursions: 1. The Vikings saga excursion: You will reach Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful thermal spring, to the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls area. Stop in Reykholt which was the intellectual centers of the island.  2. The Langjokull Glacier excursion: Drive to Iceland’s majestic hinterland, the Langjökull glacier, Iceland’s second largest glacier. At the Langjökull, (“The Long Glacier”, 360 m. 4,460 ft.) you will visit the Ice Cave, a man-made cave that consists of a series of tunnels and caves carved through solid glacier ice. There is also an ice chapel and an ice bar. Your guide will tell you about glaciology and how climate change is affecting the glaciers. After lunch, you will drive to Hraunfoss and Barnafoss - two of Iceland's most picturesque waterfalls, located close to Húsafell. Your return to Akranes will take you along the coastline, back to the pier for embarkation and a late afternoon sailing to Patreksfjordur. Overnight at sea.

Day 4 Patreksfjordur | Isafjordur

This morning arrive at Patreksfjordur. Today you can choose from 2 optional excursions: 1. The optional Westfjord adventure excursion starts from the port and reaches the Látrabjarg cliffs, with the largest seabird colony in the northern Atlantic famous for its puffin colony. Your next stop is at Rauðasandur or “Red Sand” beach, distinct itself from most of Iceland’s beaches, as it is golden and pink in color. You will ride on a tractor carriage with your expert guide and local farmer along the beach to the seal colony, where you can see the seals up close. 2. The optional excursion to the Dynjandi waterfall, one of the most beautiful in Iceland and Bildudalur for a visit to the sea monsters museum. Late afternoon, cruise around the Harnafjordur fjord and anchor in front of the majestic Dynzandi Waterfall. After drinks to celebrate this wonder of nature, sail to Isafjordur. Late night arrival in Isafjordur. Overnight in port.

Day 5 Isafjordur

After breakfast onboard, disembark for an optional tour to Thingeyri village and the interactive Viking Museum. After the “Viking experience,” return to Isafjordur and visit the Maritime and Heritage Museum, highlighting the rich history and culture of this fishing community. In the afternoon, sail to Siglufjordur. Overnight at sea.

Day 6 Siglufjordur | Husavik

This morning, reach Siglufjordur, Iceland's northernmost city, very close to the Arctic Circle and possibly the most picturesque port of Iceland. It was once known as the capital of herring fishing. Enjoy an optional walking tour through the city, the port, the herring museum, and the folk music center housed in Madame House, the oldest house in the city. After lunch, leave for nearby Husavik port and in the late afternoon sail in the Skjafandi Bay and reach Husavik, Europe's capital of whale watching. There is plenty of time for you to stroll around this charming fishing village and visit the wooden church, the best-preserved church in Iceland. Overnight in port.

Day 7 Husavik | Akureyri

Today, Husavik is your starting point for 2 optional excursions: 1. Optional Whale watching morning excursion: Whale watching near the Arctic Circle:  Husavik is also called Europe's whale watching capital. Enjoy the magnificent wildlife and stunning scenery aboard a renovated traditional oak fishing boat and see from close minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, and harbor porpoises. 2. Lake Myvatn & Godafoss optional tour: Depart Husavik around noon and head to the thermal field of Namaskard. Then continue to Dimmuborgir lava labyrinth, a paradise of towering lava castles, natural arches, and grottos. Drive along the shores of Lake Myvatn to reach Skutustadir and its amazing craters. Then you'll continue to the Godafoss, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. Your tour will end at Akureyri, where you rejoin the Panorama late evening. Passengers not taking the excursion will be sailing from Husavik to Akureyri with the Panorama.
Overnight in Akureyri. 

Day 8 Akureyri | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Disembark the Panorama in the morning between 6-10 am and return home via your independent flight.
