Day 1: Iceland, Reykjavik | Embark

Keflavik airport is dramatic, carved out of an Arctic desert, and only 45 minutes from vibrant Reykjavik.

Day 2: Stykkisholmur and Flatey

Experience Stykkishlomurs stunning lava formations, glaciers, and hot springs. Participate in one of our exciting activities, such as kayaking, hiking, or horseback riding.

Day 3: Bildudalur | Latrabjarg Bird Cliff

Pass the Latrabjarg cliffs, home to millions of birds, including puffins, northern gannets, guillemots, and razorbills, on our way to lovely Bildudalur, which is nestled on the shores of a scenic fjord.

Day 4: Isafjordur

The harbor of Isafjordur boasts the oldest houses in Iceland, including the Maritime Museum. Choose optional excursions that follow in the footsteps of trolls or enjoy horseback riding.

Day 5: Hornbjarg Cliff | Reykjafjordur

The Hornbjarg cliff is one of the greatest seabird habitats in Iceland, and we will try to land our small boats here and at Reykjafjordu

Day 6: Hrisey | Akureyri

Peaceful Hrisey is a paradise for birdwatchers, with about 40 species nesting here. Next stop is lively Akureyri.

Day 7: Grimsey

We will use our small boats to land on the island of Grimsey, where you can straddle the line defining the Arctic Circle.

Day 8: Husavik

Husavik is one of the best whale-watching locations, with an ideal bay for baleen whales. This is the oldest settlement in Iceland.

Day 9: Bakkagerdi | Seyoisfjordur

Bakkageroi is known as the land of the elves. In addition, puffin colonies abound. You can join us in the natural forest of Hallormsstaour, enjoy a guided hike, or go on an optional excursion to Skalanes.

Day 10: Djupivogur

The Bulandsnes bird sanctuary in Djupivogur is world-renowned. Nearby, the Vatnajokull glacier is the largest in Europe. Join our optional excursion to the Vatnajokull lagoon, or stay and hike close to the lovely town.

Day 11: Heimaey (Vestmannaeyjar)

Heimaey's cliffs host puffins, kittiwakes, and other seabirds. In 1973, a huge volcanic eruption destroyed much of the town and today, a museum commemorates the event.
