Day 1: Dubrovnik, Croatia | Embark

Dubrovnik is one of the most prominent destinations in the Adriatic Sea. It lies in the region of Dalmatia and was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979. Settle in to your cabin and attend a welcome dinner as the ship sets sail.

Dubrovnik – Buggy Safari with Srdj Views: Dubrovnik Buggy Safari is the ultimate fun activity for people of all ages. Depart the Port of Dubrovnik by foot toward the lower cable car station for an enjoyable panoramic cable car ride toward Srdj Hill. Srdj Hill is the buggy tour starting point and today well known as the upper station from where from magnificent views of Dubrovnik Old Town and the entire Riviera can be enjoyed. Upon arrival meet the professional instructors who give a brief tour introduction and safety briefing. The program lasts about 1.5 hours and you get to drive off-road, seeing sites from the recent war, fortresses, villages, domestic animals, and lush vegetation. Enjoy amazing 360° views of the whole Dubrovnik area and the islands and mountains behind the hill. After your Buggy Safari have approximately 45 minutes to relax at the cable car upper station before going back to the Old Town.

Dubrovnik – UNESCO’s Walled City Walk with Oysters & Wine: Today, Dubrovnik is considered the place for all those who wish to renew themselves and their faith in human nature. When you arrive at the walled city of Dubrovnik, enter its fortress walls through the Harbor Gate. Once inside, you are sure to notice immediately the absence of signage and neon, with its stone-paved Stradun Avenue lined with graceful stone palazzos, shops, sidewalk cafes, and government buildings all looking as they did hundreds of years ago. Along the way visit The Cathedral built on the remains of another one from the 12th century that was destroyed in 1667 by a disastrous earthquake. Today its treasure contains one of the finest collections of gold and silver in Europe. Other fine buildings can be viewed from the outside: the Sponza Palace, notable for its column courtyard with elaborate stone carvings, The Church of Saint Blaise, Onofriou`s Fountain, and more. At the end of the walking discovery, the guide escorts you to a local oyster & sushi bar located close to the Old Town port where can taste delicious oysters from the Adriatic Sea and have a glass of wine before going back to the ship.

Dubrovnik – Adriatic Sea Adventure: Dubrovnik is a very popular destination. Board a luxurious inflatable zodiac boat in the Old Town Port, and cruise along Lokrum Island. Enjoy the possibility to admire the old city of Dubrovnik. Continue with a cruise along the Lapad Peninsula and pass close by the charming Grebeni Lighthouse toward Kolocep Island. The next stop is to the outer side of Kolocep Island where you can snorkel in the Modra Spilja Cave. The adventure continues towards the other side of the island of Kolocep, to the settlement Donje Celo which has a beautiful and very popular sandy beach. Here you can take some free time to relax in the sun and swim or to ride on tubes through the beautiful bay of Donje Celo. A light lunch and drink is served at the restaurant Gverovic-Orsan before returning to Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik – Traditional Dubrovnik: This is a incredible opportunity to explore the beautiful natural setting of the green and fertile Konalve Valley. Enjoy a scenic drive through the small and picturesque villages. Discover Ljuta and visit the Old Mill called Mlinica Dvori which is still in function today. Upon visiting Watermills and Stamp Mills continue your trip toward Gruda Village, where Antonia Ruskovic keeps the tradition of small handcrafted silk production. This Land Adventure enables you to share in this magnificent cultural endeavor as you produce a silk thread in the age-old, traditional manner. The thread you produce is used to embroider new costumes. Listen to an explanation of the whole process, from cocoon boiling, to thread reeling, dyeing, plying, reeling, weaving, and embroidering. Enjoy the hospitality of a host in the village and connect with some of this ancient country's profound cultural values as you actively participate in their rebirth and restoration. Upon this very unique experience continue your trip toward Dubrovnik for a guided tour of the Old Town.

Day 2: Kotor, Montenegro

Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the Republic of Venice, and the Venetian influence remains dominant among the architecture. In 1979 the Bay of Kotor, City of Kotor, and the surrounding territory were listed with UNESCO Heritage as a Cultural Site.

Kotor - Pearls of the Adriatic: Depart Kotor for a one-hour scenic drive along the coast to Sveti Stefan. Pass beautiful sandy beaches and small coastal towns. Since the 1960s Kotor has been endorsed as a world-famous resort among international jet-setters with comfortable villas and luxurious apartments. Its warren of stone paths, stairways, tunnels, and tiny gardens is one of the most secluded and beautiful hideaways in an already secret place. Then drive back to Budva, which is considered one of the oldest settlements in the Balkans and is the most popular seaside destination in Montenegro. The town is surrounded by fortifications originating from the fifteenth century, including a medieval rampart system with city gates, defensive walls, and towers. Inside the walls the town is a combination of narrow streets and tiny squares with monuments testifing to the variety of Mediterranean cultures that marked its development. After the visit to Budva, return to Kotor and enjoy some exterior sightseeing of the Old Town. You then can return to the yacht or if you prefer, stay in the town for some more independent exploration.

Kotor- Tastes and Traditions of Montenegro: Start this Land Adventure by departing Kotor and the Old Town through a tunnel under the mountain-peninsula Vrmac. After a short drive through the Tivat municipality area, arrive at the Lustica Peninsula. Stunning photo opportunities are all around. Your visit to the Moric family property and other parts of this village starts in the olive grove where a welcome drink is served. This is an incredible opportunity to learn about olive cultivation, the olive harvest, and certain methods of olive oil production. This is followed by olive oil tasting, with a diversity of homemade food and drinks served in the form of a buffet. Enjoy homemade products and a variety of drinks.

Day 3: Korcula, Croatia

Korčula may be the actual birth place of Marco Polo! This is an island in the Adriatic Sea, in Southern Dalmatia. As the island is relatively flat, this is a great biking destination as well.

Korcula – Peljesac Wines & Vineyards: This is a perfect Land Adventure for wine lovers. Cross the channel by motorboat and reach the well-known seaside resort of “Orebic” wherefrom this excursion starts. Pelješac Peninsula is producing probably the best wines in Croatia. The best known are the red wines Dingac and Postup. Leaving the town of Orebic, visit the great new cellar of Korta Katarina wines. The winery and vineyards are perched on the edge of the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea and provide breathtaking views of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast. Upon visiting Korta Katarina Winery the tour continues to Potomje Village to visit the “Matusko” family winery. Enjoy the opportunity to taste some of the famous wines produced from the grapes that grow on the steep slopes close to the little village of Trstenik. Continue to the small village of Prizdrina, where you can enjoy local food specialties while being entertained by a group of local musicians performing local Dalmatian songs. Afterwards, rejoin your coach for the return drive along the Peljesac Peninsula to the seaside resort of Orebic to board a motor boat for the return transfer to Korcula.

Day 4: Trogir, Croatia

The UNESCO awarded city of Trogir is considered to be one of the oldest and most exciting villages along the Adriatic Coast. Located on a small island between the mainland and Ciovo, it sports some impressive medieval walls and a collection of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture.

Trogir – Rafting on The Centina River: A scenic journey brings you from Trogir into the beautiful countryside along the banks of the Cetina River. For those with an adventurous spirit and love for untouched nature, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a rafting experience and discover the magnificent canyons, waterfalls, and lush vegetation surrounding the Cetina. After a lot of excitement in the water, head to the Radmanove Mlinice restaurant for refreshments and lunch before returning to the ship.

Trogir – The Birthplace of Zinfandel: Start your day with a scenic drive along the Riviera of Seven Castles (locally known as Kastela). After the drive, visit the Bedalov family vinery and their vineyards. The Kastela region is known as one of the most potent wine growing areas in Croatia. The view from the tasting room terrace, at approximately 400 meters altitude, provides the most spectacular panoramic view of Kastela, Split, and the entire Dalmatian Islands. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the vineyards over the whole Riviera while trying new tastes of wine accompanied with some typical homegrown and homemade snacks before you continue back to the yacht.

Trogir – Game of Thrones in Split: Croatia has increased its popularity in the last couple of years, not only because of its beauty, historical architecture, and natural wonders, but also because of HBO’s Game of Thrones series that was filmed in several Croatian cities. It seems Croatia offers everything the crew needs, as the number of filming locations in Croatia grow every year. Visit the Split locations appearing in the fourth season of Game of Thrones. All the scenes with Daenarys Targaryen and her Unsullied Army this season were filmed in Dalmatia, precisely the Split region. Start with Klis Fortress, which is located just a short drive from Split. Klis is a medieval fortress situated above a village bearing the same name. In modern times, this fortress has been a filming location for Danaerys’s stronghold. After the visit to Klis fort, embark your coach and continue driving towards Dugopolje. A visit to Vranjaca Cave with a guide gives you insight into the filming locations for the 5th season of the popular TV Show. After a short drive arrive to Antonica Mill. This mill is the last mill on Zrnovica River that is still in function, and has been working continuously for the last 100 years, although it is presumed that the mill is over 500 years old. After your tasty lunch, re-board the coach and head back. Next re-board the coach and go towards the town of Split, more precisely, visit Diocletian’s Cellars, built in the 4th century and also one of the filming locations of the fourth season of Game of Thrones. After the tour go back to your yacht (which is in the vicinity of Diocletian’s Palace), in case you decide to explore the town on your own.

Day 5: Hvar, Croatia

The island of Hvar is somewhat unusual, as it is blessed with a large fertile coastal plain and fresh water springs. Its hillsides are covered in pine forests, vineyards, olive groves, fruit orchards, and lavender fields. The climate is characterized by mild winters and warm summers with many hours of sunshine. Kayak down the coastline or take an independent hike to the fortress for incredible views.

Hvar – Best of Both Worlds, Hvar Island & Town: Should you remain in the town of Hvar, one of the best-preserved and historic towns along this coast? Or, explore the countryside of one of the most beautiful islands in all of Croatia? The answer is easy - do both! This Land Adventure also includes a visit to one of the island's most charming villages you would not want to miss. Come, and enjoy an informative guided walk through the town of Hvar. Two of the most charming and "rediscovered" Croatian towns along the Adriatic coast are yours to explore today. Begin from the anchorage off the Island of Hvar and tender into the town given the same name. Discover a fascinating array of sites within the thick-walled fortress town. Highlights include the Cathedral of St. Stephens with its treasury and bell tower, very distinct marks of the former Venetian rule. After a visit of the city on foot take a scenic 40-minute drive through the Island of Hvar to the seaside village of Starigrad, where you can visit the Dominican Monastery, with its rich library containing priceless books and paintings. Upon your return to the town, stop at the Fortress above the Island for a magnificent view.

Hvar – Archipelago Kayak Adventure & Snorkel: Make the most of your visit by combining your shore-side visit with an offshore kayak and swimming exploration of the beautiful coastal scenery and the small islands just a short distance from Hvar. Delight yourself with the scenery of hidden coves, secluded pebble beaches, and caves. After reaching the beaches off the islands, the sparkling clear and warm clean waters of the Adriatic coast invite you for a refreshing swim. Departing by kayak from the town, the local leader guides you along the small picturesque island of Pokonji Do (lighthouse) and toward Mekicevica Bay. Enjoy a quick stop to swim and explore before returning to Hvar by kayak. This is a secluded bay where a small fisherman's house was converted into a small cafe where one can have a refreshing drink or coffee and use the restroom.

Hvar – Sailing Hvar Archipelago: Experience the Mediterranean 'chill' during this half-day sailing and snorkeling adventure. Visit the most beautiful parts of the island and see places rarely visited by tourists. Pakleni Islands Sail: Sail from Hvar town to the archipelago, and stop in several bays for exploration while letting the weather and winds guide you. Depending on the strength of the wind and general weather conditions, sail for approximately 30 to 45 minutes before reaching your first stop in one of the secluded bays surrounding the islands. Palmizana Bay: Slip in to the clear water to enjoy swimming or snorkeling before sailing on to your next stop at Palmizana Bay, where you may have the chance to visit the bay and if you wish perhaps purchase a refreshment at one of popular bars or restaurants located in the bay. Lunch On Board: Lunch is served on board your sailing vessel and includes cold buffet dishes consisting of different local island specialties of fish, vegetables, and pasta.

Day 6: Vieste, Foggia, Italy

Vieste, Foggia – Gargano Sea Caves & Taste of Vieste: The boat tour departs from Foce Varano and the Marina of Rodi Garganico. The first stop is Baia dei Trabucchi and the charming village of Peschici; thereafter, the tour continues along the Rock of Paradiso. Admire the islet of La Chianca, Punta Lunga, and the fascinating old town of Vieste. Immediately after Vieste the panorama changes dramatically with high white-chalk cliffs that frame the coastline with breathtaking views of the Arco degli Innamorati (Lovers Arch), several magnificent grottos, and Faraglione della Pipa, with a final stop to admire the wonderful Baia delle Zagare, all natural wonders that make this area unique. The adventure continues down to the Baia di Campi tranquil beach, a beautiful spot full of small pebbles where you can take a swim and relax before the boat is ready to pick you up and return to Foce Varano.
