Join the Sea Cloud on a dazzling 8-day sailing adventure exploring the wonders of the Mediterranean. Start in Monte Carlo, where the densely packed buildings extend up the rocky coastline, and gaze out over a gloriously azure sea, with three marinas with spectacular luxury yachts swaying on the waves. In the center, set high up, is the beautiful old city of Monaco-Ville with the splendid Prince's Palace, cathedral, and Oceanographic Museum of Jacques Cousteau. Sail all the way to Barcelona's beautiful elegant squares and boulevards while others look for medieval romance in the Gothic quarter. Some love the artistic treasures in the Picasso Museum or the Joan Miró Foundation, but for most, Barcelona is the capital of Catalan Art Nouveau and its glory is epitomized in the spectacular Palau de la Música.

The sophisticated Monegasque city state between Italy and France is one of the world's most exclusive addresses. Its densely packed buildings extend up the rocky coastline and gaze out over a gloriously azure sea, with three marinas where spectacular luxury yachts sway on the waves. In the center, set high up, is the beautiful old city of Monaco-Ville with the splendid Prince's Palace, cathedral, and Oceanographic Museum of Jacques Cousteau. In the center of Monte Carlo you can find the famous casino, a beautiful Belle Epoque building, and the palatial opera house.
Discover La Ciotat, a town on France’s Mediterranean coast. Take a trip to the Parc du Mugel botanical garden where you will see tropical plants, pebble beaches, and play areas. Enjoy the great at atmosphere at the grand Musée Ciotaden, amid the cafes and bars of the regenerated Old Port area, which features exhibitions on the town’s shipbuilding history and the invention of the game of pétanque. To the north is the Eden Theater, the world's oldest operating cinema.
Explore the medieval Château Royal de Collioure offering dramatic coastal views. The bell tower of 17th-century Notre-Dame-des-Anges Church was once a lighthouse. The Modern Art Museum includes paintings by Henri Matisse. Nearby is the Moulin de Collioure, a 14th-century windmill. South, the hilltop Fort St. Elme has a museum with medieval weapons.
Barcelona revels in contrasts. Many enthuse over the beautiful elegant squares and boulevards, while others look for medieval romance in the Gothic quarter. Some love the artistic treasures in the Picasso Museum or the Joan Miró Foundation, but for most people, Barcelona is the capital of Catalan Art Nouveau and its glory is epitomized in the spectacular Palau de la Música. At every turn, you encounter the playfully opulent creations of architect Antonio Gaudi. His exuberant fantasies are evident in the numerous houses, idiosyncratic parks, and the famous uncompleted Sagrada Familia cathedral which he created.
Walk through Mahón, or Maó, the magnificent capital of the Spanish island of Menorca. Marvel at the British-style Georgian houses and sheltered harbor. The Santa María Church, which has an ornate 19th-century organ, sits on central Plaça de la Constitució. The city hall next to the church has a Renaissance facade and a clock donated by the island’s first British governor. The Menorca Museum displays art and exhibits on the island's history.
Day 8: Palma de Mallorca, Spain | Disembark
1 Breakfast
Enjoy exploring the resort city and capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca), in the western Mediterranean. Gaze at the massive Santa María cathedral, a Gothic landmark begun in the 13th century, overlooking the Bay of Palma. The adjacent Almudaina is a Moorish-style Arab fortress converted into a royal residence. West of the city, hilltop Bellver Castle is a medieval fortress with a distinctive circular shape.

Kate was great to work with in the planning stage. She was prompt, helpful, and efficient. Our tour guide, Edwin, was knowledgeable and passionate. We were very happy to have traveled with Adventure Life, it made the trip easy and a true pleasure. We could concentrate on enjoying the experience rather than the details of travel.

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
