Day 1 Cannes, France | Embark

Glittering Cannes is the archetypal Mediterranean resort city discovered by wealthy English nobles who came to the sunny south of France to escape their drafty old castles during the dreary British winters. Cannes’ high-flying lifestyle has attracted notables and the notorious ever since. Every year, the stars flock to celebrate the Cannes Film Festival at the colossal Palais des Festivals.

Day 2 Portofino, Italy

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Portofino is a fishing village on the Italian Riveria coastline. Its pastel-colored houses, luxury boutiques, and seafood restaurants surround its Piazzetta, a small cobbled square overlooking the harbor, which is lined with super-yachts. A short walk takes you up to the Church of St. George, a church with a cool, plain interior, dramatically situated on the narrow neck of the Portofino headland. As a lookout point, and probably as a site of religious significance, the spot goes back thousands of years.

Day 3 L'ile Rousse, Corsica, France

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Crowded with yachts flying burgees hailing from the world's most prestigious yacht clubs, the harbor of St. Florent is a regatta of colors. Take an excursion to the peninsula of Cap Corse, where medieval watchtowers dot the cliff tops every few miles.

Day 4 Calvi, Corsica

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Napoleon once said that he could recognize his native island blindfolded because of the wonderful perfume of the maquis. Approaching by sea, it is the first thing you experience about Corsica. The second is its wild and mountainous landscape. Nearby are secluded beaches and the eerie Grottes des Veaux Marins, offering fantastic diving opportunities.

Day 5 Plage d'arone, Corsica

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Arone is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. Surrounded by pink rocks and scrub, this long, soft, golden sandy beach stretches for 750 meters. There are plenty of amenities including bars and restaurants. The water is crystal clear, calm and warm, but the main attraction of the beach is that it is never crowded.

Day 6 Porquerolles, Iles d'hyres | Sanary-sur-mer, France

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Porquerolles is a small crescent-shaped island that is popular with cyclists. On the southern side the coast is made up of steep cliffs and secluded creeks only accessible to hikers and on the northern side, you can find fine sand beaches and clear turquoise waters. A large area enjoys National Park status so the island is beautiful, calm and unspoiled.

Where the rugged hills of the Massif des Maures subside into the sea, the small island of Porquerolles lies basking in the eternally blue Mediterranean. The island’s little town was created as a retirement community for Napoleon’s troops - making it the world’s first “Sun City.” Today Porquerolles is a destination for nature lovers, who hike the hills covered in sage, myrtle, and oddly exotic plants to a magnificent white-sand beach where a picturesque lighthouse stands guard over the wild shore.

Day 7 St. Tropez, France

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
It is said that the most spectacular way to approach the exquisite harbor of St. Tropez is by sea. St. Tropez is a people watcher's paradise. Explore her famous beaches, bistros, and bars. The appropriately named Tahiti Plage is where topless suntanning started, and whether you prefer to take it off or take it all in, there's always plenty to see in St. Tropez.

Day 8 Cannes, France

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Glittering Cannes is the archetypal Mediterranean resort city discovered by wealthy English nobles who came to the sunny south of France to escape their drafty old castles during the dreary British winters. Cannes’ high flying lifestyle has attracted notables and the notorious ever since. Every year, the stars flock to celebrate the Cannes Film Festival at the colossal Palais des Festivals.

Day 9 St. Margherita, Italy

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Santa Margherita is an elegant seaside resort nestling east of Genoa. The town is surrounded by hills from the top of which are breathtaking views over the Costa del Delfini. The harbor where many boats and luxury yachts are moored has a lively social life with bars and restaurants that often host parties and folk shows.

Day 10 L'Ile Rousse, Corsica

Day 11 East Corsica beach | Bastia, Corsica

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Stretching from Porto Vecchio, in northern Corsica, to Bastia in the south, this huge expanse of coastal sand is one of the island’s true gems. Corsica’s comprises of many charming golden beaches, where you are sure to find somewhere ideal to relax and soak up the sun.

It's amazing in this day and age to find a Mediterranean city that looks like it stepped right out of the travel diary of a 19th century Grand Tour. Bastia's gracious Italianate buildings were created to house the administrative offices of the capital of Haute Corse.

Day 12 Portoferraio, Elba

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
From his villa in Portoferraio, Napoleon, the exiled Emperor of France, looked out over the waiting ships in the harbor and dreamed of returning to glory. Enjoy a local vineyard tour, and near Portoferraio, discover the remains of an ancient Etruscan civilization.

Day 13 Porto Vecchio, Corsica

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
The town of Porto Vecchio has two main areas to explore: the citadel and old town, and the marina. The fascinating citadel and streets of the old town date from the 16th century, when the Genoese controlled Corsica, so allow time to wander around the area. The small marina is attractive and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants overlooking the harbor, a perfect place to spend a summer evening.

Day 14 Porto Cervo, Sardinia

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Porto Cervo in the heart of Costa Smeralda is a luxury destination that plays host to many celebrities and VIPs throughout the peak summer season. There are plenty of fine restaurants and luxury boutiques and the village has been described as utopian with architectural influences from Greece, North Africa, Spain, and Italy. All surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery.

Day 15 Civitavecchia (port for Rome), Italy | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
St. Peter's, with its breathtaking Sistine Chapel, newly restored to its former glory; the Spanish Steps, where all Rome passes by; the Colosseum, where gladiators fought to the death, and the Pantheon, considered to be the most perfect architectural statement of the ages. Disembark after breakfast and continue your independent trip back home.
