It's estimated that over half of Toronto's residents were born outside Canada, and despite its complex makeup, Torontonians generally get along. Toronto is a vibrant, big-time city abuzz with activity. Some of the world's finest restaurants are found here, alongside happening bars and clubs and eclectic festivals.

Day 2: At Sea

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Enjoy a day of scenic sailing as you make your way towards Montreal. Enjoy convivial conversation with your fellow passengers or join an engaging discussion with your shipboard experts, well-versed in the history, peoples, and natural wonders of the Canadian Atlantic region.

Day 3: Montréal, Québec

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
In 2017, Montreal celebrated its 375th birthday, making it one of the oldest cities in North America. Situated on the St. Lawrence River, it remains an important crossroads for shipping by land and sea, with a rich history of Iroquois, colonial, and cosmopolitan settlements. Enjoy a walking tour of the Old City with a visit to the Notre Dame Basilica. Explore Montreal old and new with a drive through the downtown business district to the top of Mont Royal for a commanding view of the city and the St. Lawrence River. Afterward, visit one of the world's largest and most important Botanical Gardens in downtown Montreal.

Day 4: Québec City, Québec

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Quebec City is the only walled community in North America and is deeply engaged in preserving its history and its unique place in Canada. Coaches depart for the Plains of Abraham where the battle between invading English and French defenders took place as the English stormed the upper city and captured the town. Onward to Place Royale in the lower-town, which was bombarded in 1759 from across the river, as fire ships were dispatched towards the port. Then drive out of Quebec City to see the historical and majestic Montmorency Falls, including a cable car ride to the top where you have magnificent views across to the Ile d'Orléans. In the afternoon, guests are encouraged to stroll on their own out the port to visit the Petit Champlain and take the funicular railway to the Chateau Frontenac and its magnificent Dufferin Terrace.

Day 5: Whale Watching | Tadoussac

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Tadoussac, where the St. Lawrence River meets the outflow of the Saguenay River, is one of the most exciting whale-watching sites in the world. Between May and October, up to 13 species of cetaceans make their way upriver from the Atlantic Ocean, to become temporary residents in the salty rich waters of the St. Lawrence. These sea mammals include blue whales, the largest animals on the planet, and the impressive humpbacks, which swim up into the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord near Tadoussac to feed. The M/V Victory II makes a rendezvous with your whale watching boat off the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord and guests transfer onto the "Grand Fleuve", which is staffed by a crew who are experts in whale behavior.

Day 6: At Sea

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Enjoy a day of scenic sailing as you make your way towards Charlottetown. Enjoy convivial conversation with your fellow passengers or join an engaging discussion with your shipboard experts, well-versed in the history, peoples, and natural wonders of the Canadian Atlantic region.

Day 7: Charlottetown, P.E.I.

  • Ship
  • 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner

In the morning, coaches leave the port and follow the historic trail walked by delegates to the conference that led to the Confederation of Canada. Make your way along the famous North Shore to Cavendish Bay, in Prince Edward Island National Park, to the farmstead that inspired L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables. Enjoy a tour of the house, stroll the haunted woods, Lovers' Lane, and the famous white shores of the bay. Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
