Explore the beautiful Nassau, an important crossroads at the heart of the Bahamas and tour Saint George, the former capital of Bermuda, one of the oldest English colonies in the New World. Day 1: Miami | Embark

The ultimate symbol of Florida if ever there was one, to this day Miami remains a must-see city. The home of what is considered to be the world’s busiest cruise ship port, this multicultural city where the sun rules supreme has a lot more to offer than just long beaches and glamour. Miami is also worth visiting for its Art Deco district in South Beach, home to pastel-colored buildings and to hotels with eccentric shapes. Artists, designers and top couturiers enliven this multifaceted city of skyscrapers, boutiques, frescoes, and turquoise water. Not far from there is Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical wilderness reserve in North America, listed with UNESCO.

Day 2: Nassau

Lying between the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea, Central America, and the United States, Nassau is an important crossroads at the heart of the Bahamas. A favored haunt of pirates and then smugglers, a colonial land coveted by the British, the Spanish and the Americans, the town, which was created in the second half of the 17th Century, is famous for its tumultuous past. Today transformed into an upscale tourist destination, the capital of the Bahamas has succeeded in maintaining its authentic charm whilst offering several attractions thanks to its boutiques, casinos and the spectacular Atlantis complex. Built on Paradise Island, this gigantic construction is home to the largest tropical aquarium in the world.

Day 3-4: At Sea

Depending on the season, let yourself be tempted by the swimming pool or a spot of sunbathing. This day without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, to do some shopping in the boutique or to meet the photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship’s upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observe marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest and entertainment.

Day 5: Saint George’s

The former capital of Bermuda, Saint George’s will captivate you with its old-world charm. Founded in the 17th century on the island that shares its name, in the north of the Bermuda archipelago, the town is one of the oldest English colonies in the New World. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it is home to magnificent dwellings now converted into museums, elegant stone buildings that are testimony to the early period of the town, as well as a number of religious buildings. Saint Peter’s church, considered to be the oldest Anglican place of worship outside the British Isles, boasts sumptuous cedar wood carvings. Not far from there, Tucker House invites you to experience the daily life of a prominent family from the island in the 18th century.

Day 6-10: At Sea

Day 11: Horta, Azores

The main town on Faial Island, in the Azores, Horta has preserved a real authenticity and picturesque charm. The main marina in the archipelago, the town boasts several frescos painted by sailors who dropped anchor there from around the world. Also do not miss a visit to the many churches, the Santa Cruz fort dating from the 16th Century and the Scrimshaw Museum, dedicated to the local craft of sculpting on whale teeth. In the south-east of the city is Monte Da Guia, a volcanic cone classified as a Special Protection Area, which will offer you breathtaking views over Porto Pim Bay and the ocean.

Day 12: Ponta Delgada

The coastal city of Ponta Delgada stands on the southern coastline of São Miguel Island, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. On your way to the town center from the port, pass through the Doors to the Sea, a contemporary architectural complex bordering the Atlantic. The historic district features a beautiful square framed by the three Baroque arches of the City Gates. A few steps from the shore find the Gothic church of São Sebastião and the Renaissance fortress, Fortaleza de São Brásainsi.

Day 13-14: At Sea

Portugal’s capital city located on the banks of the Tagus, only a few kilometers from the Atlantic coast, is a city of exceptionally rich cultural diversity. At the mouth of the river harbor, impose two UNESCO World Heritage monuments, Jeronimos monastery, and Belem tower. The Alfama hillside is also worth visiting: known for its fado bars and its Moorish streets, this district is the oldest one of the city and one of the most typical. Not far from there, Chiado’s elegant streets are home to big fashion labels and are an invitation to a bit of luxury shopping.

After breakfast aboard the ship, disembark at Lisbon.
