You’ll pass by ancient trees, hidden beaches, and untouched lagoons, and hear all about the indigenous past, long before the days as a private island resort. After a morning out exploring, you’ll have earned some blissful beach relaxation. Swim with the kids in the calm waters, or while the hours away in a colorful hammock. Chase crabs along the palm-fringed shores or build sand castles until sunset. Beach time is always time well spent.
Rise and shine bright and early for today’s adventure – no family island getaway would be complete without a little island hopping. Head out by boat into the Gulf of Chiriquí National Marine Park to explore the pristine shores of Isla Palenque’s neighbouring islands. In these protected waters, you’ll rarely see another boat around.
Stop off at two nearby idyllic islands for a relaxing swim in the crystal waters, some snorkelling, and of course some beach bumming. Keep your eyes peeled on the way back – it’s not uncommon to spot jumping fish, rays, sea birds, and even dolphins and whales at certain times of the year.
Day 5: Departure
Hop in a boat for a 15-minute ride back to Boca Chica.
Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
